Must be a Baltimore thang, what with officers of the law engaging in all kinds of sheboonery and feral monkeyshines in their off-hours.

You think that happened in the off hours? Nah, with these types it often happens in the jail.

Low hiring standards, low screening, low pay. That is why you see more of this (this being taking money to bring in drugs, taking money for sex etc) in the US than up here.

$1:
'He became a favorite of prison officials because he quelled violence,' Harding continued.

So basically he did the "officers" job for them so they didn't have to? If you don't want to quell violence and risk confrontation don't do the job.

I would say maybe true Benn. However Texas Counties wont put up it. Bexar County Texas home to the Alamo got a new Sheriff a few years ago and she has been arresting her own correctional officer's for DUI, Weapons Violation and yes Sex. Texas Counties and there Citizens wont put up with Baltimore shit. Ask Stratos, he may confirm what I said as he's been there longer then me. I only three years there before getting tossed into the Sinful Desert lol. Dam it Strato's share some that Rain!!!  please.

I can in honesty only some counties (most) are like what you say Vamp. When working in Bell County Jail back in the early 90's there was a female inmate who had been in jail for 10 months and was 7 months pregnant when I started working there. There had been a huge investigation but no one was discovered to have been the father. The inmate would not say who the father was. The one thing that was determined in the investigation was that she had NO contact with any male inmate sense her arrival in the jail. Thus it had to be a male guard.

Travis County where I did most of my Jail work was/is like you describe.

As for putting up with the type of carp that has/was going on in the Baltimore jail system. It does happen here in Texas but not to any extent like it did in Baltimore. On top of that I would say 99% of the counties here in Texas would and will prosecute to the max any such activity.

As for the Rain transfer. Heck no we need all we can get.
