The Electric only version needs to have a 1.20GW battery so it can accellerate from 0 to 88mph in 4 seconds.

Its not that great in real life, I actually know someone who has one. Just looks nice and thats about it, that French Renault engine is pretty much useless doubt it can even get to 88mph.

And if it gets dinged, you can't just bash it out with a hammer, put in some filler, sand it down and repaint it.

The same can be said for Aluminum, Fiberglass, Carbon Fiber and Carbon reinforced polymer. ;)

A neighbor of ours has one that he painted Ferrari red and the original engine was replaced with a Ferrari 360 V-8 and that explains the color choice.

By the way, it scoots!

Edit: I'll try to remember to post pictures when I get a chance this weekend.

Biggest problem the DMC is its lack of paint. Not the material used. And Barts neighbour probably painted it for this very reason.

I always liked the brushed steel look. Didn't think it needed paint. Stainless Steel doesn't rust, so it doesn't need paint. That would just be cosmetic, not functional like most vehicles.

But it would look good in a Ferrari Red!

Funny thing the internet. Here I've been thinking my neighbor was all-so-unique and it turns out he's just a voice in a chorus. DD's comment made me go look.

One of several DMC painted red:
