I'm sure we are all aware of the campaign to suppress opposing opinion on climate change; however, the examples given by Krauthammer are interesting in that they show just how far things have gone especially regarding enviro quackery.

WASHINGTON — Two months ago, a petition bearing more than 110,000 signatures was delivered to The Washington Post demanding a ban on any article questioning global warming. The petition arrived the day before publication of my column, which consisted of precisely that heresy.
The column ran as usual. But I was gratified by the show of intolerance because it perfectly illustrated my argument that the left is entering a new phase of ideological agitation — no longer trying to win the debate but stopping debate altogether, banishing from public discourse any and all opposition.
The proper word for that attitude is totalitarian. It declares certain controversies over and visits serious consequences — from social ostracism to vocational defenestration — upon those who refuse to be silenced. cont. The
Typical. We've seen it everywhere, even here. Not surprised at all.
You mean the right is open minded?
I thought closed minded people were ideologues - both left and right.
Some links to right wing closed mindedness are easy to find, I bet.
The LA Times banned any dissenting voice in their paper last year.
fuckin Eco Nazi's
Then the left should not complain when the same rules get used on them some day.
The link to the full article says "Page does not exist".
No one's ever suggested imprisoning you though for your opinion or tried to have you fired from your job for your political beliefs, both of which the left-wing openly wants to see happen for climate skeptics and, in the second case, actually managed to accomplish with the forced resignation of Brendan Eich. You can say the Harper is exactly like the Hitler all you want, even though there's zero evidence for it. The guys on the left though, that you hang out with and give your support to? They're still the same arrogant, dangerous, and crypto-fascist little scum that they've always been.
I've never said Harper was like Hitler. I pointed to similar trends between him and Putin, knowing full well you'd flip over that. Funny. If you don't think that the "Fair elections act" is a dangerous piece of work, you've been drinking more Kool Aid than I thought. The blue flavor, whatever it's called. Reformaberry?
Eich I thought was forced out over the gay thing. And apparently his own co-workers forced him out. That's not censorship as in imprisoning, that's workplace politics. People have been forced out before for all sorts of reasons why they couldn't get along with their fellow workers.
Who on the left do I hang out with and give my support to? How do you know so much about my real life? I mostly argue left because of the strong right stance on this forum. It's rightoChristoMilitarionormative around here.
So the left are cryptofascist scum? Wow.
The only one I know about suggesting imprisoning climate skeptics is Suzuki. And only vaguely know about that from this forum, never read an exact quote. I got over Suzuki many decades ago, when I saw him dancing around with a huge group of natives in the alpine meadows above Pemberton. They all flew up there in helicopters, trampled the fragile alpine meadows for some "guardians of the earth" bullshit celebration and then left. Oh and they also built some "healing lodges" or whatever they were, again in the fragile alpine, totally illegal. Left behind a mess of tin cans and porno magazines.
