The David Suzuki Foundation is committed to reducing and offsetting its greenhouse gas emissions by going Carbon Neutral. All of the major emissions associated with this tour are offset through investments in sustainable energy programs, such as wind farms, solar installations, or energy efficiency projects.

We also offset the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. We’ve worked to reduce our overall emissions by locating our office in a highly energy-efficient building, by using 100 per cent post-consumer recycled paper and printing double-sided, choosing energy-efficient photocopiers and computer equipment, and recycling most of our office waste. We’ve also purchased video-conferencing equipment to assist in reducing air travel.

Why all the alarmism concerning carbon? Carbon has always been there during the formation of the planet. We are not creating anything new.

The focus needs to be shifted onto the various forms of man made pollution.

the planet is worth more. 1.5 trillion pieces of paper are worthless if you can not breath

You know what surprises me is that I don't see more environmentalists riding their bikes to work in minus 40 below weather.

Maybe for the time being we still need oil, mixedfarmer. Until something else comes along we are pretty much addicted to oil.

how would you expect them to make a living..if they can't run around telling lies

Whats going to stop us breathing?

Air pollution in the form of soot, sulphur dioxide and excess carbon dioxode. Smog doesn't magically appear out of nowhere, it's a symptom of people driving gas powered cars.

something has come along. both henry ford and one of the rockefellers drove electric cars , saying gas powered cars are to dirty. Was the moon rover gas powered? To keep people using oil harper gave oil companies billions in tax breaks. If oil is so great why do the need to be subsidized.

Jean Chretien and Paul Martin did too.

Considering how bad the air is, why do so many live there?
The answer is that it is not as bad as some would make us believe.

It is just as bad as it looks. If nobody lived there, there wouldn't be any smog.
