Not their ideas, their words, keep up. To answer your question yes, if two international leaders have the exact same view point on a subject I expect their speeches to reflect this. It would be good if everything they said was a Shakespearian original, but thats not how life works. From time to time people are lazy, if you kept the same standard for the movies and tv shows you watch, as you do for the Conservatives, you would have the social life of a 70 year old.
Now are you going to keep having a tantrum because the liberal’s leadership is a limp noodle?

It is revolting how words have all of a sudden lost all meaning. Words are expressions of ideas. Is it too much to ask that politicians be accountable for the B.S. that they are spewing ?

People are haeld to account for their words. They are supposed to express your thoughts. That Harper would pass these works off as his own views is disgusting. He is a liar and a hack and he is not fit to be P.M.

Why? He's making a good point.

Plagiarism equals dishonesty, no matter how you look at it. Why is it not a big deal in politics?

It's such a big deal they caught it right away five years later.

Its kind of norm though, it would be nice if politicians were held 100% accountable for what they say, but its never going to work. Look at Dion, he constantly talked about how bad the Cons were but he would vote with them. He talked about bringing them down, but when he was called on it he avoided the subject. To come flat out and constantly complain about how bad the Conservatives are and how Harper is unfit for his job, while ignoring his own leader’s short comings is hypocritical.
First he comes on and says that the Cons were going to lose, then he said they were 'rewiting history' now he is saying they are dont have any ideas of their own. He is just lashing out because the Cons are beating the Libs. If we turned back the clock to 04 and he supported the Cons, he would be saying the exact same thing about the Libs.

Maybe you are right, maybe this whole ripping off someone else's speech thing is not such a big deal, after all, he's been ripping off U.S. republican policy since the start of his career.

 Yes your right, silly right wing conservatives having right wing ideas. I think we should put a stop to it right now! The Cons should stop accepting right wing policies that are in the states, The Libs should stop getting policies from Denmark; the NDP should stop getting policies from Sweden and other socialist countries. Hell we should all vote Green! They seem to be the only ones who have come up with the original idea of fisting us into county being a country that does whatever it can for the environment screw the Canadian quality of life!

Anything else....?
