Golf is what losing hockey teams play.

People watch golf? On TV? And like it?

ShepherdsDog @ Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:54 am

I've watched a couple of skins games. Watching curling on TV is what I find mind boggling....I've curled since I was about 10(learned on natural ice too, at a 2 sheet rink) and enjoy the game(try and explain it to the Taiwanese), but I can't even watch other people's games, while I'm at the rink.

Yeah I watch golf, whenever I have trouble sleeping. I just put on golf and it always does the trick for me. I mean, if somebody considers watching some guy take 5 minutes to take a shot at a ball and to see if it lands anywhere near the hole. Then watch them walk or drive around in those go-kart things to there ball, then take a few more shots at it unti'll its in the hole is fun. Then I suggest therapy for them.

Playing golf is a different story, it's suppose to be a relaxing game but it's not nearly as entertaining as hockey. If at all even entertaining. It's more just for the relaxation. I'd rather watch the movie Bratz, then watch Golf. Which is saying a lot because I hate that whole Bratz shit with a passion.

Reminds me of when another famous balck guy--Chris Rock--was on SNL during the hockey strike. He did this bit during Weekend Update on what a blow the NHL strike was to the African-American community. Man, it was funny.

ROTFL ROTFL Zip I would have loved to see that. I can just imagine that too.
As for golf it certainly was fun to play when I did, but watch...not for me.
Outside of Canada and Europe and Russia hockey doesn't have much of a following.
Funnier yet I don't think I've ever watched Tiger Woods hit one shot. Maybe we should send him to lunch with Georges LaRaque and see if he is able to golf the next day. [hockey] Or give him a set of skates and have him play a shift or two in a scrimage. Now that would be funny, almost as funny as watching some Canadians or Europeans hitting golf balls for the first time. Hmmm...what would be funnier? 8O [huh]

I played golf when I was in my teens, sometimes 3 or 4 times a week. I haven't played a round in 10 years and have no desire to do so. It's boring and a waste of good land  watching it on TV ROTFL , thats for old people who drink Sanka.

He can't. He has a bad knee. Probably hit his knee one too many times climbing in and out of the golf cart....it certainly couldn't be from walking miles on soft, cushiony fairways...

Hockey is much harder then golf, and dangerious. I got 2 stitches on my chin from when I was a kid playing hockey. I got some-what of bent fingers, not really noticable though from a hockey stick smacking hard into them. Majority of my life injures came from playing hockey. My first time playing golf, I missed the ball a couple times but after that I was hitting it pretty far. Hockey, you first need to learn how to skate which is a pain in the ass by itself. He'll be messed up way before the hockey players would even get to him in a scrimmage.

I think watching him constantly fall down on the ice would be funnier.
