Interesting timing....Olympics are taking center stage.
Such is public life though. If I had to make public apologies for my private life I'd need my own TV network running 24/7 !!
I think it's a "play" to let the Olympics overshadow his announcement, but he can still feel vindicated that he made the public announcement and got it over with.
Move on....nothing to see here.
Welcome back TIGER!!
Tiger, I really don't care.

And during a tournament. His mouthpiece was asked if it could have waited until Monday and the response was no. Tiger has always wanted to control the media. This is another example.
Seriously - who cares?
Apologize for what? Because he's a pig? He's a guy. (Sorry guys, no offence, but..) It's expected.
Get over it, get on with your life, and keep your sex life under the radar.

Tiger Woods has a lot of explaining to do
Yes, to his wife. And maybe to his bitches. But to his wife first and foremost. The rest of the world? Seriously, what do WE have to do with this?

True Brenda, he doesn't owe anybody else an explanation.
He's trying to repair his image and that image is worth millions.
Also, if he wants to continue competing, I don't think he can unless he puts himself on public display.

Tiger has been told by his former sponsors that if he wants them back he has to do the proper American thing - some public groveling.

What WE have to do with this is we are consumers, consumers of the products that Tiger endorses and some consumers may have a problem laying down their money on anything Tiger woods is associated with, that's why some companies dropped him. So we have plenty to do with this. Tiger is a husband, a father and even a pig to some, but he is also the face of many products so I'm not surprised by this latest PR move.

Then stop buying the shit. I don't see the problem. I have nothing to do with his affairs, I am not even feeling I am allowed to have an opinion. His private life is NONE of our business. That is why people have to learn to separate business from pleasure.

Of course you're allowed to have an opinion, as we all are. But to say that Tiger shouldn't be made to explain his actions to the consumers of the companies he represents (companies who pay him millions of dollars for an image) is a little short sighted. He is the face of many companies and these companies may take a financial hit being associated with him. Your comment of "then stop buying the shit" is the problem these companies face, exactly the reason for this...damage control to appease the consumers. His actions had a direct effect on companies so I'm not surprised that those same companies expect this of him. And don't kid yourself, Tiger likely wants to salvage his image as well.

Maybe they should have thought about that before they paid him millions to promote their products? Maybe they should have put that in a contract?
"do not fuck around or you are done". Not hard.
The people who are personally offended by this just need to get a life and be a little bit more open-minded.
If you don't like a product for whatever reason, don't buy it. I don't think a survey has been held to figure out why people buy certain products and why not. I personally don't even know what companies he represents. That is how much it matters... Not at all, that is.

This has NOTHING to do with the fact that this weekend's tournament is the Accenture World Matchplay, Accenture being the largest sponsor to dump Tiger as a spokesperson in response to his scandal.
You wait, this press conference will be an Accenture bashing session, nothing more. BTW, Accenture is one of my strongest recommended "buys", if you're an investor. I hope Tiger's words drive the price of Accenture down a few bucks so I can add a couple of hundred more shares to my portfolio at a discount.

The people "personally offended by this" are the very people these companies are trying to appease. You admit that people are offended but suggest that they should just get over it, well it's not that simple. Example: Mommy goes to the local gaming store to but little Johnny the latest golf game from EA Sports...on the cover is Tiger swinging his club. Mommy is offended remembering Tiger drove more than golf balls on his rise to the top and refuses to lay down her money based on that fact.
I get that you feel Tiger is entitled to privacy I do. But when he signed on the dotted line/s to provide an image from which he and companies involved would make ridiculous amounts of money perhaps he shouldn't have taken such careless risks. Tiger knows the world we live in, he knows celebrities have no privacy, do they deserve it? Perhaps but he knows that doesn't happen. And the fact that he now has to do major damage control does not surprise me at all.
