407 is an example of a toll road... still too busy ..not looked after and they keep raising the fees..then if you are two minutes late paying your bill they put it in collection and block you from getting your plates renewed.. I read about this in the paper

don't image this would turn into a very popular idea if it ever happened .
really the last thing any of the commuters who drive into toronto want to have to deal with . especially with gas prices so high .

They should do like Calgary, excellent metrosystem, no downtown highway, a cap on parking at half the standard minimum.

No.. I would like to say yes but the rapid growth of Calgary has our transit system maxed out.
The trains are jammed during rush hour, not enough buses either.
Problem starts with lack of manpower coupled with a system at it's capacity.
My brother is a driver he says they are still trying to recruit 2 to 3 hundred more drivers...not much interest.

Hard to imagine there is anything worse than Calgary's transit system. *scatches his head* Well there are all ways those pictures of people riding on top of trains in India, that would be some what comparable.

Sell of their heated and free underground parking to. Make the bastards park at the "park'n ride". That would be enough for me.
