Tories plan December vote on same-sex marriage

Harper decisions affecting womens rights:
- 43-per-cent cuts to the operating budget of the Status of Women Canada, a federal agency that promotes gender equality.
- Cutting plans for subsidized day-care
- allowing tax splitting for married couples, benifitting those with huge gaps in salaries more greatly, thereby encouraging stay-at-home moms. ( I agree with this one, but it certainly does not encourage mother's to continue working.)
