I've been opposed to Comey for a long time now. Don't pretend that I've only recently decided that he was an asshole.

A short while ago the FBI director announced that Hillary Clinton won't face any charges for mishandling top secret information.
Now what would be delicious is for the Russians to release ALL of her emails that they hacked and to cause the Obama Administration and this FBI director to resign.

FFS... Trump openly praised him for what he is now using as an excuse to fire him.
Even Snowden says this is unwarranted political interference in law enforcement.

Like I said, Hillary would have fired the man even sooner.
Obama should have fired the idiot when he started mishandling the email investigation but I suppose the Democrats figured they were going to benefit from having an idiot as FBI Director. And then he pulled the stupid pre-election stunt of reopening the Hillary email investigation only to shut it down again a few days later.
I won't say that Comey cost Hillary the election but he certainly improved Trump's margin of victory.
Unfairly so. Thus I support firing him regardless of why.

Regardless of who became POTUS Comey was bound to be fired, the timing and optics are bad.
