Trump trolls the warmists

$1:
And we thought deadly wind chill would be a "thing of the past". A bit of humor here from the President, and while any one weather event doesn't prove or disprove anything (except when it's a heat wave, because we are told that ALWAYS proves global warming) we can surely laugh at Trump's having fun winding those folks up.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded. In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can't last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!"

Except I've been in -72-76f temps (with Windchill) so.... and the coldest temp ever recorded in the lower 48 was -70f (probably without windchill) Alaska has gone to -80f once or twice, and Hawaii has seen the brutal temperature of 12f. The absolute record coldest in North America was in 1948 when in Snag Yukon it was a savage -81.4f. Unless he's only talking about Illinois then sure, its a record breaking cold.

I saw a headline from Fox News. They were talking about the Midwest in general but they were saying the same sort of thing as this from Climatologist Roy Spencer:

$1:
Chicago All-Time Record Low?

Both the European (ECMWF) and U.S. (GFS) weather forecast models are in agreement that by Wednesday morning temperatures in the Chicago suburbs will be approaching -30 deg. F. The all-time official record low for the Chicago metro area was -27 deg. F (O’Hare) on January 20, 1985, and that 34 year old record could fall as the ECMWF model is forecasting -32 deg. F for Thursday morning while the GFS model is bottoming out at -26 deg. F on Wednesday morning. Of course, these forecasts will change somewhat in the coming days as the cold wave approaches.

Dangerous Wind Chills

Like the record-breaking event of January 1985, the frigid temperatures will be accompanied by strong winds — gusting to 20 to 30 mph — with wind chills plunging to -60 deg. F at times. This is dangerously cold, and I suspect schools will close, water lines will freeze, and travel will be discouraged. Again, this event is still several days away, but the public should be aware of the potential severity of this cold wave.

In any case I think Trump's comment is more about this:

Absolute record cold? Oh, that's just an isolated weather event.

Meanwhile the not-quite record heat in Australia was presented as absolute and undeniable proof of global warming.

Bullshit as usual.

Interesting comment. Are you saying that there is no evidence of global warming?

In other news, I ate today, so world hunger doesn't exist.

I've been cancer free for 2 years, so I cured cancer.

Did you have cancer before or did you just start keeping track of you not having cancer for the last 2 years?

I might have had it previously, as no one really knows the cause. It reached a tipping point, and became obvious. I have been testing for it's re-emergence since, and it has not reappeared.

3 more years of it not reappearing, and it's considered gone.

That's awesome to hear. Cancer is a fucking piece of shit disease.

Annual good news/bad news on cancer.

$1:
A group of Israeli scientists say a cure for cancer is within reach, even optimistically predicting that it will be found within a year.

But at least one expert in the U.S. has questioned the potential cure's legitimacy and said it's more likely just another claim on a list of "irresponsible and ultimately cruel false promises" for cancer patients.

https://www.foxnews.com/health/cure-for ... evelopment

Here's a better solution.

Run your cancer data through the climate models and they'll tell you with confidence you're good for another 100 years...maybe 2...maybe more.
