<strong>Canadian</strong>
Yea, that makes sense.
My television is not even worth $5.
It's just another tax and another government bureacracy will be created to spend it. And if they're saying $5 to $45 to start then they really mean $25 to $250 in two or three years because that's what always happens with this kind of thing.
Good news: all those Canadian dollars that will be spent at the new electronics stores on the US side of the border.
Was it not just last week that Dalton promised, again, no more taxes? Make no mistake, that is just exactly what this is.
The McGunity government is simply made up of a bunch of compulsive liars, what else is there to say?
Will they now tax discarded radio's?
Who knows, but I mean we pay a deposit on bottles and what not, I mean if you got the money back when you recycled whats the big deal?
Reguarding the bottle deposits, I'd like to see some numbers on those. I'd bet that it's a small % that get returned and the result is another big hidden tax for the government.
It could be, but I enjoy returning my bottles. Especially after a big party. Helps pay for gas or more booze. Ah, such a vicious circle.
..not to mention supporting a growth industry of beggars and bicycle theves..
Think about it... a deposit fee is placed on the item at point of sale and only redeemed if it's returned.I bet only 1/4 get returned.
Oh you are no doubt right. But still, its decent incentive...sorta.
