I Already posted that just before you did
The EV1 is still not some conspiracy. Even the article you posted shows it was business decisions all around and finding out the reasons behind it have been public for a long time.
Since then the battery technology has matured and we have the electric car again. Claiming the “oil companies” killed it to maintain their sales in fossil fuels is stretching credibility to the breaking point.
I’d believe 911 was an “inside job” before I’d accept this as valid conspiracy.
I built a water injection system and fitted it to an old Triumph T100.
All I got was steam outa the exhaust pipes..
Later fitted a much refined system to a Humber Super Snipe Pullman Imperial Limousine. The improved gas mileage of 0.0% was offset by the muffler quickly rusting out.
Simple direct business decisions. That required cutting them ALL to pieces, locking away the parts and patents and burning the blueprints.
We Canadians should understand that.
Exactly like Dief did to the Avro Arrow. Simple business decisions.
There's been mention of a higher compression engine requiring a heavy block. I work at an diesel engine rebuilding facility and actually truck diesels do have a heavy block but the piston cylinder is separate, only about 3/16 of an inch thick. It's very strong, replaceable - not a big deal.
