Intresting article, I like the questions the writer raised:

$1:
Who provided the information that prompted someone at the paper with sufficient power to reinvent the story of the wafer and the prime minister? Who at the paper received that information? Who decided to give what looks like a political makeover to the original story without involving its original authors? And finally, who decided the paper had it all wrong?

One of the bloggers is now offering $1400 to "anyone who can provide verifiable proof of the person(s) responsible for the fabrication of the Wafergate story that was passed along to the Telegraph-Journal"

Based on my yardstick rule:

News is what some people don't want you to know. Everything else is advertising.

Why isn't the media asking these questions?

Come on ride. You already know the answer to that question.
The media hate Harper, the Tories, Reform, the PC Party, the Republicans, the cops, Pink Floyd and the military.
Not particulary in that order though.

I'm actually pretty sure most media coverage I've seen of Pink Floyd has been pretty positive.

lol.. Pink Floyd? You mean the old wierd stuff by Sid, the cynical stuff by Waters or the nice muic but lame lyrics by Gilmore?

I would have thought maybe country or folk but Pink floys? No taste at all.

I'm going for Dave being the focal point of the left-wing media bias. Division Bell was a bit crappy though.

They need a tax-dodging, professional suck up like Bono. That will make it all better.

Yea! I had enough of Bob Geldof when I was in Ethiopia during the 83-84 famine. He's another all-around tax dodging fibber.
