We're raising some wonderful children.

She did the right thing ....that is , if you can classify it as saving the life of a child

"I love to go down to the schoolyard and watch the children run around and scream. They don't know I use blanks."
Maybe I am missing the humour in this comment????????

I was laughing my ass off at that. Then I considered doing it.

It's a quote by the great Jack Handey.

OK, thanks.
How would you like to be one of the ones she hit. You read that comment by her and go WTF. So she's the lil **** that blindsided me. Lets call a Lawyer.
I'm also so happy to hear that in 2 years this girl is going to think I'm OLD.
Then in the end what is really sad is the fact she rode got into a life boat. Hell at that point she could have at least handed off the vest to someone who was going into the water or already in the water.
I think we are all looking at this the wrong way. In a panic situation such as this, listing cruise ship, water, sinking, etc, 3/4 of the people have watched the movie Titanic... panic is bound to happen, folks think they may die. Thats when fight or flight takes over, and it becomes survival of the fittest.
Now, I wasn't in this situation, so I can't speak for her, but if I was on a boat that I thought was going to sink, we are miles from land, and their aren't lifejackets to be found, you are damn right I'll punch someone out to get myself one. If land is within a mile or two, i could swim for it and probrably make it if the water is above 5 degrees, so it wouldn't be necessary.
Next factor is freinds and loved ones. If my girlfriend was with me, I wouldn't give a damn who it was I was punching out, how fast the boat was sinking, how far away land was, I'd make sure she'd have a lifejacket, even if its another 16-18 year old lass I have to knock-out to get her one.
lily lily:
And if someone punched out your girlfriend to get her life jacket, I'm sure you'd understand.... right?
fuck them, i'd grab a fire-extiguisher and pound their fucking face into the deck or steel wall. Again Lily, survival of the fittest.
I get your point, just the thought of such a thing happening to her enrages me. but my upmost concern would be her safety and her feelings, not the safety and feelings of someone i don't know. Priorities.

I don't know whether you have kids or not, but i'm assuming you;d be willing to beat on other people and fight to ensure their safety right?

Double standard. What if a guy punches out a woman to get a life jacket? Not acceptable in today's society in any historical era but its ok for a woman to punch a guy to get what she wants....
TheArticle TheArticle:
Undaunted by her Greek cruise experience, Strilchuk says she'll go on a July cruise for her grandparents' 50th anniversary.
Wonder if she'll deck her own grand father for his life jacket if the ship goes down again. I understand that she was a young girl but she can obviously take care of herself. That 2 men she stole the jackets from could very well have been fathers or grand fathers too.

Hahaha..
.
I have a love/hate opinion of you Lily. Some of the time I love ya, some of the time I hate ya, that quote there is great though LOL

Mom and Dad must be proud of their little girl.

She definitely needs to have some decency slapped into her soonest.
By the way, I seem to have heard that the boat actually took the better part of a day to actually sink so nobody was actually in any real danger. It looked like the entire Greek navy waas on hand "rescuing" the passengers.
I thought a couple of people were missing or killed?
I hope her mom and dad are proud of their little girl - especially considering they're probaly 40 years old themselves.
I guess your avatar's ok with the bars on,must hide that bad old nipple.

Titanic doesn't apply. If people would actually stop and think, there is no reason to panic. BECAUSE of the Titanic, ships are a helluva lot safer, even when sinking.
Christ, what's this little bitch like at Boxing Day sales?? Someone should have dropped a deck chair on her.
Tricks @ Sat Apr 14, 2007 10:08 pm
I'm not going to lie, if I saw that happen. I would be very tempted to toss her through a wall and give the guy his life jacket back.

She probably learned that behaviour at the boxing day sales. Nowadays its the me,me,me attitude, especially with kids, too bad they didnt have to walk backwards in 4 feet of snow with no boots on to school like we did,Might teach them some respect.
