Now you're talking Alberta and Saskatchewan. I only wish there weren't so many commies running BC so we could go with you.

stratos @ Tue Oct 22, 2019 11:32 am

Can they seriously vote to leave Canada

Thanos @ Tue Oct 22, 2019 11:37 am

Yup. The wheels are in motion.

stratos @ Tue Oct 22, 2019 11:41 am

Does it look like they would have enough votes to win a separation vote?

Depends on how bad it gets here. Husky Oil did a bunch of layoffs today. If more occur due to the strangulation caused by Trudeau's over-regulation then the sentiment will build even more.

The comments in the election thread about how bad Stephen Harper was remain endlessly hilarious. But Quebec nearly left twice under Trudeau Senior and Chretien, and now the same effect is gaining steam in the West under Trudeau Junior. If Harper was so bad then why is that national unity is so badly jeopardized only when the Liberals are in power? This is the question that they don't want to answer. Not the Liberals, not the national media, and not anyone who benefits the most from the Laurentian Consensus.

Maybe parts of the BC interior, but I wouldn't want Vancouver or Victoria. They are only a few short steps away from people defecating in the streets like San Francisco.

We need a port to ship oil out of...

Canada can't deny an UNCLOS request.

Her sovereignty, literally, relies on it.

Canada would be afforded the luxury of which shipping method they prefer.

Don't just blame Trudeau for this western alienation, blame every politician out of Quebec and Ontario who have seen Western Canada as the Easts piggy bank and punching bag, to be used and abused in the name of "Confederation". All the current narcissist has done is finish the job his predecessors started but, unfortunately for him he's to thick to keep this agenda hidden as well as they did which brings us to this point in history where there is a strong chance that because of his actions the country could implode.

Given my background, never in all my years would I have thought I'd say this but, it's time for the Western Provinces to leave Canada and form their own country especially in light of the fact that this election has shown that the East votes for what it considers it's best interests and not Canada's which, is pretty much a giant middle finger to us out west.

Why not? Quebeck did it twice.

The Western Provinces have tried to get along, have gone out of their way to "play the game" with no benefit for them and their constituents but, unfortunately it's gone on to long and now is the time for Trudeau to either step up and show he's here for all of Canada and not just the East or let the West amicably leave Confederation after a referendum.

I'd be working on a friendly annexation and not an invasion. 8)
