Woman, 82, 'humiliated' by airport security
Kind of ironic. Some of the folks who are decrying this invasion of personal space are t5he ones who created it with their Muslim fearmongering.
I used one of those scan thingies last time I flew. It's optional at tis point; they gave me the choice of pat-down or booth. The booth was easy. In and out. Some dogsbody thirty feet away gets to see me naked. Who cares.
It just needs oversight, and lots of it. Already, despite promises to the contrary, the security agencies have been caught saving images.

When I went through Pearson's...coming back from Afghanistan...I thought I was in a foreign country (not one white person was doing security). I'm not against other colours, but "I really wondered what I went to Afghanistan for!"
This is so messed up. I'm going to hold my MP's feet to the fire on this when he comes around.

Security guard wanted to touch her junk?

Well, it sounds like you have some kind of holdup against other races otherwise you wouldn't be questioning why you had to protect them.

Of course not. It's legal, whether we like it or not.
There has not been enough public outrage to push the scales in the opposite direction of the public fear. You see it in interviews with the Americans - for the most part, people are comfortable with having their junk touched, or some old lady's junk touched, or a four year old's junk touched because of the amazingly well established climate of fear.
Terrorists are calling the tune and Canadians and Americans are dancing to the beat.
We suck and we don't even realize we suck.
Sad but true. Look what we've become. Look what fear is making us do. It's shameful.

Hey last time I flew I went thru YVR, same thing. All of a sudden there was a big commotion, gibbering in totally foreign tongues (if I'd even heard a French word I might not be so pissed), I get patted down over a beep that didn't happen when wearing exactly the same clothes I wore in Prince George and when I get back ALL the scanned baskets are out of order and people are panicking about making their flights. I grab my stuff and run for the plane, get back to PG and pull into Wendys to discover [i]every fucking $20 and $50 is gone from my wallet, there's only three fivers left. Over $300 stolen by these fuckers.
The previous trip thru I got home and opened my bag to find the camera stolen from it's soft case.
The LAST flight they stopped me boarding and informed me that unless my ticket was issued to my PROPER name I would not be allowed to board next time. Fuck you, I've used my 2nd name for 56 years and if that fucks up security I will not fly, and I haven't since 2007.
Eat me, fuck you, elect me PM and there will be ONLY a wand wave for domestic flights. If there's ever bullshit on a domestic flight I might consider more. Otherwise I'll tell everyone to hold their British heritage dear and CARRY ON, not kiss away every liberty and hide under the bed like a Yank.

A lot of your anger is understandable, but what's the beef with brown people?
