Funny story...
I met with a Canadian officer the other day, who was French Canadian, and I brought my France-French counterparts with me and reassured them that the Canadian spoke fluent French so this shouldn't be too difficult. Well, the boys from France had cocked eyebrows after 10 seconds of the French Canadian started speaking.
I've heard rumours that the Canadian French was slightly disembowled but I had no idea that it was to this level.

it gets worse than that, couple summers ago I worked with diamond drillers from chibougamou Quebec. I grew up near Ottawa and my mom is from Quebec so i thought id have no problem being the translator for the geologist. boy was I wrong, that guy spoke pure gibberish

Hehehe, we are taught French in school, so I thought I could speak with my cousins' sister in law, who is from Quebec...
To make a long story short: we spoke in English, so we could understand eachother
