"On Jan. 23, Canadians voted for change, and they asked our party to lead that change," Harper began the 13-minute address to an over-stuffed ballroom, six days before the return of Parliament.<p>
He concluded the address, carried live on two television networks, by inviting average Canadians to continue reminding their elected representatives why they are in Ottawa.<p>
"We're going to need the active support and involvement of Canadians, our supporters and all Canadians right across this country," said Harper, reading from teleprompters.<p>
"We're going to need all of them writing, e-mailing, faxing and telephoning their MPs to tell them to get on with the plan."<p>

All very nice, provided you're not represented by some braindead Reform leftover, Conservative MP, as we have here in the Cariboo, in the person of one Dick Harris. All the inputs these pathetic excuses will receive will end up in Harper's office, as they have been in Manning's.
Ed Deak. Big Lake. BC.
I think everybody should contact their MPs and demand that Harper quit trying to silence the press. He did promise to be open and accountable, after all.
That was before the election, after all.
That's what all politicians do before elections, after all.
And after all is said and done, they change for the worse.
MP Harris is a brain dead hack who thinks that the wheel is a marvelous 21st cntury invention.

I wish it were just an insult. I've dealt with the man personally and if there ever was a politician who could be best described as a political drone it's him.
Jay Hill, the other Conservative rep elected in this city is easily superior to him morally and ethically.
