BCMary, I neither agree nor disagree with your opinion of the tag lines but I do respect it. I have never seen them as an annoyance, useless maybe but to me, they give an impression of the person making the post. Not necessarily of who that person is but at least what that person wants to be.
Personally, I find them useful because after one has learned which tag line goes with which poster, you no longer have to hunt for that small blue link at the top of the post to see who wrote it, you just glance at the tag line after reading it.

Finally with all due respect, as you observed in your post which lead to dio's attack on you, this is a very important topic. However, since you asked your question and somebody else got called a one trick pony, (BCMary's point taken) there has not been one on-topic post on this thread. Is the issue of tag lines on Vive more important than Canadian sovereignty?
I think it would be more appropriate to e-mail the ruling elite of Vive to voice opinions of or make suggestions for web site.

Footprints & Wraun: thanks for trying to help. No, I didn't know that the
witticisms are frozen on. Are they irreversible? Unavoidable? Because
they add nothing to the discussion; in fact, they detract and distract.

But you're right: back to the topic. The best thing we each could do,
right now, is to send an e.mail to the editors of many newspapers, radio
and TV stations, asking them why they didn't report such an important
meeting as the Banff conclave for deeper integration.

As I said in my original statement (above), letters like that are noticed
and felt.

I offered as evidence, the CanWest Editor-in-Chief whose reply to me is
shown on The Legislature Raids blog.

dis function dat function hinky obsessions moral outrage thinly dee skized obscenities and always the outraged little old lady so becomes you. In my minds eye, I see you much like one of Len Norris’ cartoon characters, all bristle and pomposity when you think you are right
You do amuse Mary Dear always the one to dish it out and yet never accepting blame at he own faults.. that you see no logic only means you are blind to your faults while lording it over all around you.
I’ll see your s.t.f.u. and raise you a l.w.I.s. there ya go hink for hink
And Mary?
Just in case it went totally over your head you were being teased by the doctor as to where you chose to place your e-sponse.
And another thing …
As I predicted, your case was not rested nor will it be wrested from you – it was only set aside so you could get a head of steam up and waste more time on your precious ego base hooey

This country, the country loved dearly by patriotic Canadians is under attack and has help from the traitorous Stevie Harper and you blather on about punctuation and perceived slights.

Mary,
You get credit for the posts where you have brought to the readers attention outrageous behaviours of elected officials, you also get criticised when you drift off into rants of what you see as correct.
The news flash is
Ya ain’t queen bee

Mary the "witticisms" as you incorrectly call them are know as signatures, and certain;y no more distracting than you obsessive comments about them AND that is REALLY annoying.(to me)
As I understand it a 'fact' is a truth, but only the truth of the speaker.
In other words it is YOUR fact and you are trying to impose your "fact" on the rest of us. But wtf (what the fact)?
Mary, we all have our peccadilloes
By the bye have you, as is YOUR custom, gone whining to the mods yet ;-)

If this truely bothers you then there's no time like the present to step up and start taking action...everyone who knows about this needs to take action for the mainstream press to start taking an interest.<br />

I e-mailed them and aked why we haven't heard them speak up about this. I haven't received a reply so far. It's been 2 days.
I realize that it may be hard for groups like the CoC to get press time but I doubt it's impossible. They just need to get creative and start making some noise. They'll be heard. Ms Barlow is a familiar enough face that I think she could make a difference but I can't recall seeing her on TV or anywhere in the news for a long, long time.

Thanks for your post Texas Lady. It's reassuring to me to see that there are Americans who are as worried about the future of their country as I am about mine. I see so much ignorance and apathy both here and in the US and I imagine it's the same or worse in Mexico.

Fantastic!<br />
I have some of questions<br />
Can I get a handicapped sticker and grab all those right-at-the-door parking spots, are there recreational drugs, like say marijuana I can have prescribed on compassionate grounds, Do now qualify for one of those neat and annoying electric carts and that's the last time YOU get to get to visit. <br />

Just recieved this gmail <br>From Don: <p>"NASCO, NAWAPA AND THE NAU I had an old reference to the NAWAPA plan on our computer favourites list. It is interesting to look over the plan called the Proposed Interamerican Railroad Line at <a href="http://www.schillerinstitute.org/economy/maps/maps2.html#nawapa ">NAWAPA</a>. If one compares the map on that proposal to the NAFTA Superhighway map (NASCO) at <a href="http://www.nascocorridor.com">NASCO</a> , one sees a close correlation between the route of the proposed Superhighway and the Central North America Trade Corridor on the Proposed Interamerican Railroad Line. This is especially amazing when one considers that the Proposed Interamerican Railroad Line plan was conceived around the 1950s and 1960s. In fact, a variation of the plan "is reminiscent of the idea associated with Abraham Lincoln's concept of the Transcontinental Railway of the mid 19th century" (see INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT CORRIDOR at <a href="http://www.schillerinstitute.org/economy/maps/maps2.html#nawapa ">NAWAPA</a> ). <p>Further, if one examines the Proposed Interamerican Railroad Line for North and South America at <a href="http://www.schillerinstitute.org/economy/maps/maps2.html#nawapa ">NAWAPA</a>, it can be seen that there was a plan to link all of North and South America together in one huge trading block, even including Russia (then the USSR) with a ferry line or ? undersea tunnel from Alaska to the USSR. The proposed plans at that time go beyond a mere trading arrangement between sovereign countries of the Americas and even including the former USSR. They are part of the not-so-hidden New World Order plan for global integration of trade. On top of that, there is a map of the early 60s North American Water and Power Alliance plan or NAWAPA, also found at <a href="http://www.schillerinstitute.org/economy/maps/maps2.html#nawapa ">NAWAPA</a> , which envisions a diversion of water from an immense dam-created reservoir along the British Columbia Rocky Mountain Trench, which would flood the low lying area of the Province's trench, and then be diverted in two directions - across into Alberta and ending up in the Great Plains Canal in the US and also southward into the dry lands of the southwestern US states. <p>Once we are locked into the North American Union, we will likely be powerless to stop the NAWAPA plan, which is nothing more than a grand theft of our water resource, leaving B.C. as a shadow of its former self. " <p>and this <p><b>North American Union - A Top Goal of Secretary of Commerce</b> <br>By: Jerome Corsi, Ph.D. on Sep 06, 2006 <i><b><p>Is SPP an Executive Branch Coup d'Etat?</b></i> <p>Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez has declared advancing the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America to one of his top goals, writing in a letter archived on the Department of Commerce website that “I have made the SPP one of my top priorities and will utilize the talents and expertise of the people across the Department of Commerce to ensure the SPP is a success.” <p>Secretary Gutierrez began his letter with obvious enthusiasm: <br>I would like to bring your attention to an exciting new initiative that is a high priority for President Bush, me, and the entire Bush Administration: the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP). This initiative was announced on March 23, 2005, by President Bush, President Fox of Mexico, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. It establishes the framework under which the three countries will seek to create a safer and more prosperous North America over the coming years. <p>Secretary Gutierrez next laid out an explanation of how “security” and “prosperity” fit together, using language that carefully replaced reference to the United States of America to language embracing the concept of “North America” as an economic and political reality. <p>First, Secretary Gutierrez addressed “security.” <br>The SPP is built around the two, complementary objectives of greater security and prosperity. In the security sphere, we will aim toward a common security strategy focusing on: <br>* Securing North America from external threats; <br>* Preventing and responding to threats within North America; and <br>* Streamlining the secure and efficient movement of legitimate and low-risk traffic across our shared borders. <p>Then, Secretary Gutierrez logically moved to “prosperity.” <br>In the prosperity sphere, the countries will focus on: Improving productivity; <br>* Reducing the costs of trade; and <br>* Enhancing the joint stewardship of our environment, facilitating agricultural trade while creating a safer and more reliable food supply, and protecting our people from disease. <p> The rest of this may be read at <a href="http://www.augustreview.com/index.php?module=pagesetter&func=viewpub&tid=6&pid=22">The August Review</a> <p>I think they may be planning to sell this idea to the public using the huge numbers of jobs that would be created by these mega projects. Economically terrorized human populations might latch on to this for dear life. Once the projects are done the jobs disappear but later is later then now. <p>---<br><br />

Mainstream media giving important issues like this the required attention? It's nice to dream isn't it? When they're not patting themselves on the back, the media is too wrapped up in shoving Canadian Vital and Grey's Lobotomy down the public's throat to cover issues of significance. And since most Canadians are ignorant enough to eat up these distraction techniques, things will only get worse.

A perfect example of this is the Canadian TV media blaming the internet for the actions of the Montreal whackjob at Dawson College. How many murders and violent acts are graphically depicted on television shows on a daily basis? Wonder why we haven't heard a peep from the Canadian TV media on this? Canada: Sold Out!

"... is this kind of personal attack OK by you?"

"Doggone strange, however, that you jump on MY rejoinder while the attack is absolutely OK by you."

From Dio, I've come to expect it. I mark his posts that exhibit it down as 'insulting', and move on. You assume I condone what I don't outright condemn?

From you, I don't expect such insults. It doesn't become you to sink to his level, which is why I mentioned it.

DC,

I think you read the wrong post. Mine had nothing whatever to do with
Texas Lady. Was written prior to hers. Mine had everything to do with
the unprovoked and unseemly personal attack against me, made by Dio.

You made the situation worse by faulting me, which should please Dio
no end.

So I ask you: if I don't defend myself, who will?
