A Tyee review of donor records reveals that on May 31, 2004, Dr. Artaj Singh and Dr. Judith Singh, a husband-wife physician couple from Burlington, Ontario, gave Dosanjh two contributions of $1,750 apiece - a total of $7,000. Four days later, Artaj Singh sent an additional $1000 to Dosanjh through Fort Erie Urgent Care Inc., and on June 7, he added a further $1000 through a private company, 2009221 Ontario Inc.
Burinder S. Ahluwalia and Sonia K. Ahluwalia of Toronto sent $3,000 and $2,000 respectively to Dosanjh on May 31. Two companies owned by Birinder Ahluwalia, BSA Diagnostics Ltd. and BSA Diagnostic Imaging Inc., donated $1,000 apiece on June 7. In total, the Singh family and their companies provided $9,000 to the Dosanjh campaign, while the Ahluwalia family and companies contributed $7,000.

Dosanjh won election to the House of Commons on June 28 and was named health minister on July 20.

Take note that the medical firms contributing to Dosanjh are owned and operated by South Asians. This should also be taken into account. Dosanjh owes a lot of his support to South Asian/NRI (Non Resident Indian) people living in Canada. The NRIs of the Indian colonies out in B.C. were heavily recruited by Dosanjh's wife and others into the NDP provincial party with the sole purpose of getting this man elected leader of the party and thus the "first" Indo Canadian premier. Recruiting got so out of hand that some new NDP party members couldn't speak or read English and had to be told where to vote. The Indo-Canadian vote flooded into the B.C. NDP party to such an extent that an honest obeservor would not be off the mark to call it ballot stuffing. It was an incredibly display of racism and electoral fraud perpetrated by Indo-Canadians out in B.C. to seize provincial politcal power yet little mention of this was made in the press. I do remember reading the irked anxiety the other pary leader candidates felt knowing that their Canadian births and white skin was less appealing to these "Canadians" and the best they could do is smile and hope that they don't say anything that might label them as racists despite the fact that Indo-Canadians were basing their decisions along racist lines.

Dosanjh lost his riding and he deserved to. Fortunately the Liberals could always use an ethnic to satisfy the party's racist policy of pandering to ethnic voters.

Why is this important? If we are concerned about American money influencing the outcome of Canadian elections why reserve this concern to soley the Americans. About 75% of the South Asian community in Canada was not born here yet exercise a disproportionate amount of influence on our politcal system. I am bothered when Americans try to buy the outcomes of our elections and we should also be bothered by the emerging powers of India and China behaving the same way through the exportation of their people. Its bad enough that Canada is economically and culturally colonized by the Americans. Last thing we need is India and China doing the same thing.

When all of your comments are devoid of useful information, no one else is going to want to read them. Why not complain that we have a police force or that the candidate you voted for didn't get elected while you're at it? I'm sure mainstream newspapers would *love* to print letters to the editor from you, why not give it a try and see how much more lenient vive is in comparison.

Your mantra has been your opinions are stifled due to their contrary nature, when they are actually stifled for being without perceivable foundation.
