Harper's Fitting Award For NWO Service

Harper is following in the footsteps of Woodrow Wilson who betrayed his country in 1913 by setting up the Federal Reserve Bank, and again in 1917 by entering World War One, which was about to end in a draw. In both cases Wilson was blackmailed and manipulated. In a famous statement for posterity, Wilson confessed:

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." ("Repeal the Federal Reserve Banks" by Casimir Frank Gierut, p.31)

Similarly Harper, obedient to the bankers, flouts Canadian public opinion on three fronts.

The author of this article is an anti-feminist (opposes equality for women} and opposes rights for homosexuals. Does this suggest that some of his theo-cons are not comfortable with Harper the neo-lib?

You are quite correct on Makow’s stand on women and homosexuals, Innes.
But that is NOT what he is writing about in this article is it?
Ol' Hank's a bit of a puzzle and if he is dismissed altogether because of his stance on feminism or homosexuals then the baby has been thrown out with the bathwater. Charlie Chaplin was a communist sympathiser did that make his humour any the less?
Makow’s stance on Harper is valid and that is why I offered it for submission.
When part of persons work is judged against other parts of their work and found wanting does that negate all of their works?

You appear to have totally missed the point of my post (although the author does bring up his satisfaction with Harper's social conservative agenda so it is fair game to comment on it).

Harper's concept of the "merger" was to combine the theo-cons (social conservatives) with the economic conservatives(neo-cons, really neo-liberals). He saw the two groups as having a natural affinity. Personally, I could never see how the two could naturally work together in harmony. This author, who appears to be a social conservative, opposes the neo-con/neo-lib economic ideology illustrating the point that the two may not be as perfect a fit as Harper thinks.

I believe social conservatives tend to come more from the middle and lower economic strata, while the hard right economic conservatives tend to come from the upper economic strata. This has created an uneasy alliance. While social conservatives are opposed to things such as same-sex marriage they are also totally opposed to the growth of corporate power.

Sorry, I do get carried away at times!!

What strikes me as both extremely sad and extremely funny at the same time, is that an alledeged brainiac like Harper doesn't see the irony.

Or maybe, he just doesn't care.

The more I see of Harper as Prime Minister the more convinced I have become that his intelligence has been extremely over-rated.

A high level of intelligence has nothing to do with being a competent leader. In fact, intelligence is often associated with arrogance and stubborness, two traits which Mr. Harper obviously possesses. These unatttractive characteristics prevent him from being a prolific politician.
