They seek nothing less than the complete integration of Canada's military, security and foreign policy into the decision-making and operating systems of the U.S. …
Today, two Canadian elections later, the authors of the BPG report can hardly believe their luck. Prime Minister Stephen Harper may have only a minority government, but there is little doubt he desires closer ties with Washington.
Really? What? Looking more closely, it's hard to say what will actually come of this.

The integration of the Canadian and American security forces began in 2002 under the Liberals. On Oct. 1, 2002, the military forces of Canada and Mexico and the Continental U.S. (CONUS) were placed under a joint military command called Northern Command (NORTHCOM). Up until 2004 Northcom was headed by Gen. Ralph Eberhart, who was also the commander of NORAD that coordinated all U.S. jet fighter response on 9/11. On June 11, 2002, the National Post had this story about plans for a U.S. military occupation of Canada that was actually being discussed in the Canadian Parliament as a "protective measure":<br />

Canada 'all but undefended' study: Institute says weakness invites 'anxious' US to violate our border in event of a crisis.<br />

Canada's military impotence threatens Canadian sovereignty because it invites the US to take steps to defend itself against terrorist attacks, even to the point of sending troops onto Canadian soil...[The head of a commission on Canadian security] said it is even possible, if Canada does not cooperate with Washington's continental security plans that the Americans could seal the Canada-US border and deploy their armed forces in our territory if they felt it necessary."<br />

How much clearer does it have to be before the citizenry of this country gets it that the “take over” of Canaduh began before those of us alive to-day were born?
All that crap that happens south of that imaginary line between the “countries” applies to this part of the continent , or do you not get that?
Its over!
Nothing to see here! Move along, NOW!

The annexation of Canada in our life time by our friend, family and ally to the south of us the good old USA is about to become reality sooner then one my want to believe.
Canadian’s will loose their citizenship and become civilians in their own country in which the only chance for citizenship will be American citizenship and the right to vote will go to those people that have American citizenship.
One my think it is too far fetch but maybe it really isn’t?

Perception is two thirds of what we perceive reality to be.
Difficult decisions are a privilege of rank.
Remember that little story that did the circuit about how, if the Americans annexed Canada, they would give each Canadian a million dollars? I think the majority of we hoi polloi actually nourish that myth, and so very few raise any kind of fuss.

<blockquote> Prime Minister Stephen Harper may have only a minority government, but there is little doubt he desires closer ties with Washington. </blockquote> What actually exists in Ottawa today is a form of coalition between the Liberals and Conservatives. They both desire closer ties with Washington, and so neither will stand in each other's way to achieve their common goal. <p>---<br>"Son, if you wanna get ahead in this world, never work for another man as long as you live."
Correct, RPW. We have Republicrat governments in the US and Coniberal governments in Canada. I was surprised when I started learning more about the Canadian parliamentary system that, contrary to what I had been taught in my US university history courses, there was a definite tunnel vision among the Canadian populace that essentially makes Canada a two party country. Most Canadians can't even see that both the Liberals and Conservatives have betrayed Canadian sovereignty, and they won't even consider voting for the NDP or CAP, the only parties that have even a possibility of standing up to the Empire.

When Martial Law is imposed by the US take over of Canada, the best thing we can all do is roll over and let them pat us on the tummy, like a dog.
Once the regulations and military stand down that will be the time for action and to bare our teeth. Thankfully the population of Canada can easily meld into the population of the US, not to mention that canada has 500,000 of its citizens working in california right now, with many more in other states.
We are not weak or stupid or lazy, we just lack a cause to mobilize our energies towards a common cause, and the annexation of our homeland would be it.
Yeah, we're certainly know more about the States than their citizens know about our country. Piece of cake.
Seriously, what do you folks think will happen when in fact martial law is declared in the US - will it happen here right away as well or will we have some buffer time?
"...or will we have some buffer time?
This IS our buffer time!
And our owm miltary and various police forces will treat all as criminals
Time to take a chapter of ten out of the Afgans book!

Essential to Martial Law is an enemy:<br />

I suppose the next question might well be: What is the next insidious act this enemy will commit? I for one, opt for either a nuc-u-lar explosion somewhere in either Canadian or American mid-west (that way it won't disrupt commerce in the parts of either country that really counts), or a "plague" in a more populated centre (people can be replaced, as long as infrastructure is still intact).<br />
<br />
However the next great crisis is presented, it must be something tangible.<p>---<br>"Son, if you wanna get ahead in this world, never work for another man as long as you live."
