According to one poll, 38% of Canadians say their attitude toward the U.S. has worsened since 9/11. Almost half of our friends to the north see America as arrogant, bullying or dangerous. <br><br> Full story <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/news/col/story/194084p-167688c.html">Here</a>

You said it right Dr. Caleb. He is a flake.

I sent him an email to correct his mistake about the booing that the Canadian fans did to the American hockey players. What he forgot to mention in his article was the fact that the booing all started when Montreal Canadians were playing the N.Y Islanders and the American fans booed the Canada National Anthem. There wasn't much booing in at hockey games like this until it all started in N.Y. Of course he didn't add that cause it would have digress from the warped point he was trying to make.

Damn, Canadian Bacon is not so funny anymore...

Suggestion: we should all make American friends to show them we are on their side. ie: against Bush!

Good poll (from CBC today) 50% of Americans no longer support the war in Iraq. 42% support Bush

If that poll is accurate then I guess O'reilly is gonna start to feel lonely. O'Reilly is a bully in the news world.

I live in the USA and because of idiots like Bill O'reilly and the republican platform he espouses (NO spin zone lol... he spends ten minutes a show on HIS books and products) we now have the patriot act which takes away our rights as citizens ... good example Mr. Berg beheaded in Iraq wasn't allowed to call his parents or a lawyer and wasn't released UNTIL his parents sued in federal court after naming Donald Rumsfeld and U.S. Then FOX news tries to present him as a "spy" lol because they say his presence there "doesn't pass the sniff test" (Geraldo on his wknd program" so I envy you all in that Canada has and always will continue to put her citizens first and foremost.

Hello Anon,

Thanks for the response. I like the diversity on this forum from American visitors. We get some here who get really upset and start using some bad words when their trying to defend Bush and his admin. It seems that If you attack Bush and his admin some of the Americans who come here take it personal like its an attack on all of the American people.

Its nice to have an intelligent American like yourself that realizes that an attack on Bush and his admin isn't an attack on the American people. We all know the majority of Americans didn't vote him in. Canadians and Americans friends forever after weeding out the greedy far right wing preachers.

Welcome to vivie Anon.

I wonder if O'Reilly puts oil, natural gas, water and electricity on that list of products to be boycotted?

Lets see how long during the hot long summer that having no air conditioning that goes over. Or no gas for the ever-growing SUV for the summer trips?

Maybe someone should remind him that all the northern States depend on Canada as much as we do them. If he wants to shoot himself in the foot - go ahead - but without oil, water and electricty lets just see how many of your fellow O'Reilly Factor Americans go along for the ride.

Someone should also point out that Americas unilateral typical kill'em motto has gotten them nothing in their 'war on terra'. But that is far over his cliche, freedom fry loving brain power to comprehend.

In the end he will be eating crow because Bush is going down on a way one trip to the Hague. And Canadians will still be here with open arms welcoming Americans who dont want to kill for a lie.

I wonder if he'll boycott the US Marine's since a lot of their clothing is Canadian made. Also 80% of their freeze-dried food is made in France, which he should have already started boycotting a long time ago.

KevinGagnon @ Mon May 17, 2004 9:34 pm

Does he even realize how much he contradicts himself when he speaks? I wonder.

Anti-Americanism is the cheapest form of Canadian patriotism there is and this website is full of it. It's very popular but ultimately makes Canadians look like a bunch of losers. Is there nothing about Canada that can stand on its own as a good thing without seen in juxtaposition to the United States? Is a broken down old socialist health system and multi-culti bromides the best that Canada has to offer? It's no wonder Canadians are so thin skinned.

O'Reilly is right in that those two soldiers need to be sent back to the U.S., it's not as if they are going to be executed. They signed up to be soldiers, which, last time I checked might involve going overseas to fight a war...

Dr Caleb @ Tue May 18, 2004 7:53 am

Odds are, they will be sent back. But unlike the US, we won't send them to Syria to be tortured first, and we'll give them a fair hearing to boot.<p> Due process my friend, it's one of the things that makes us Canadians.<p><p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />

&quot;Is there nothing about Canada that can stand on its own as a good thing without seen in juxtaposition to the United States?&quot;

Anon, there's plenty about Canada that stands on its own as great. Think about Canada's longtime tradition of pushing peace-keeping, anti-landmine treaties, anti-nuclear armament, and the fact that we've never started a war or lost a war.

Think about our progressive laws. Even now they're only improving. In Canada, we are tolerant (most of us, anyways; there are always a few naysayers) of gays, gay marriage, recreational drug use (the laws are catching up with the reality on the streets), ethnic diversity, linguistic diversity, and cultural diversity.

When we have a social problem such as drug abuse and homelessness (often very much related), and our current solution fails, we try new approaches.

We in Canada also provide a model cooperative society. In Canada, the diverse cultures present allow for cooperation between entire Quebecois, English Canadian, Chinese, East Indian, hundreds of First Nations groups and a representative community of pretty much every culture present on earth. And we do it without breaking into racial wars or trying to enslave each other or conquer each other.

Those are all great and proud accomplishments in and of themselves. And you can't blame Canadians for the American situation being so much more regressive in comparison.

<p>There's that stupid label again "anti-american". I'll say it again as I've said it many times before. <p><b>In Canada.</b> <p>Canadian citizens can oppose and bash their government all they want. Doesn't mean their anti-canadian. American citizens and citizens of all countries can also oppose the Canadian government and even bash them all they want. Doesn't mean their anti-canadian. <p><b>In the United States.</b> <p>Apparently American citizens can't oppose their government and bash them. Their labeled as anti-american. Canadian citizens and citizens of all countries can't oppose the American government and even bash them all they want. That would make them also anti-american. <p>Can anyone understand why only in the United States you here the crying "anti-american" anytime someone bashes their government? Is it insecurities in the people who support this Bush government? What? <p>Think about it. How often to you hear, anti-canadian, anti-europe, anti-china. <p>In my opinion these American citizens that get offended by what people have to say about their government are just way too involved. Its almost like their government is their god. No wonder since their own president preaches like a priest as he bombs a country. <p>Kevin
