KAMLOOPS (BC Newspaper Group) — The eighth protest camp has come down at Sun Peaks after more than a dozen Kamloops RCMP officers converged on the area.
RCMP alerted the handful of protesters still in the camp that they would be arrested if they didn\'t leave peacefully. About an hour after alerting protesters, three were taken into custody, and four walked away. But they will return, said former Neskonlith Indian Band chief Arthur Manuel, who was on site.
\"It\'s really a question of beliefs. The people here know this is their land.\"

I think we can all see the benefit for investors to get the most out of their dollars, and how this will benefit the people in the long run, golfing is by far the most important thing we Canadians can do....the native protestors will surely understand. Didn't they eventually understand how beneficial it was for them to sign all those treaties?? The resort says it is a government issue, and they are probably right, so where are they?

If I stand for my country today...will my country be here to stand for me tomorrow?
We should never forget that we owe "them" rent, for usurping "their" land for all these centuries. We are past the stage where we can pick up and go back where we came from, but it is not too late to acknowledge that we moved in without asking.
