How about, if the "choice" facing Dix is to collect his $153,000 being an ineffective oppostion leader, or being woken up in the middle of the night facing "three guys named Guido" because he persisted with the issues Robin Mathews lists?

Dix was at school when I was living in Vancouver but I met him a few times. I had a very unpleasant business experience with his father whom I recall chiefly for having pills for his headaches in just about every cabinet in his office.

Ah, what more proof do we Canadians need that we are living in a banker-corporate fascist dictatorship? Almost all politicians- especially ones from the 3 corporate parties- are bought and paid for! They don't work for us, people! Their job is community and nation destroying. Their agenda is to fast track the tyranny of globalization!

Sounds like he is doing exactly what it takes to get elected. The Corp$ervatives figured this out, when their candidates refused to attend any all candidates meetings, or go anywhere they would be required to answer any tough questions. The result? Voters gave them a majority government, sending a clear message that voters wont vote for anyone who takes a strong stand. They prefer a someone who says as little as possible, or who is as non committal as possible. Expect other politicians to be as evasive as possible, so more people will vote for them. That is what voters have clearly demonstrated they are asking for. They don't want to have to think, just react.
