<a href="/article/140433385-the-war-has-backfired-for-israel">Article Link</a>

Nasrallah taunted Israel's new triumvirate of PM Ehud Olmert, Defence Minister Amir Peretz, and Chief of Staff Dan Halutz, sneering they were "small" compared to Ariel Sharon. "Adding fuel to the fire," said Rosenblum, Nasrallah "emphasized the 'small' with his fingers."

According to Rosenblum, "bad-tempered" Olmert, Peretz, and "arrogant Halutz" flew into rages at this grave insult to their manhood, and sought to prove they could out-Sharon Sharon by turning a minor skirmish into an all-out war.

Sounds bizarre, but remember, George Bush Sr. invaded Panama after Manuel Noriega called him as a "wimp." Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait after its crown prince suggested Iraq's war widows be sent to Kuwaiti harems. Adolescent behaviour springs eternal.

Israel's old Lebanese curse just keeps getting worse.

The reasons for the wars are not those mentioned in the article.
Panama was probably drugs & money and lack of total obedience and maybe the threat to expose Bush the elders role in the drug business.
Iraq was due to selling oil for currencies other than the US dollar plus huge arms bills that it couldn't pay and the fact that Kuwait was originally a part of Iraq and wouldn't follow Iraq's lead at OPEC conferences.
Lebanon has oil and resources or proximity to resources that Israel covets plus the middle east must be totally destabilized/terrorized so that the scum who rule the earth can continue to proclaim that all that they have stolen is legally theirs because possession of superior weapons is 100% of the only law that they recognize.

<p><b>4Canada writes: I am curious to know what men think while reading this article? As a woman I read this and cannot help but think that men haven't the qualifications to run the world. They really need to be assigned the bread winner postions and to keep them happy, involve them in competitve head butting sports and beer swilling in the local pub afterwards. Men are not world leaders, they are dangerous creatures to world peace when given power. More later. 4Canada</p></b> <p>Hi 4Canada. I found your comments of interest. If one looks at the world and the direction its taken over the past few thousand years it would be hardpressed for anybody to argue that men make the best leaders for the world. A reasonable world would have equal representation of both male and female making up whatever body was going to be making decisions affecting others. It's the balance that's missing. If we had women in the same proportion as we now have men I'm positive that the power would go to their heads just as it has to the men. A prime example of female power gone awry is Condor Rice of the White House. How would you incorporate her into your assessment? </p> <p>Peace</p> <p>---<br>Arthur Topham<br />

I forgot to add an important reason for attacking Lebanon and that is to draw attention away from the increasing media exposure, especially in the US, that 911 was an inside job. A poll taken within the last week says that one in three US citizens thinks that the US government was involved in the 911 attack, either by carrying out the attack or by allowing it to happen.
I also said that Lebanon has oil, I meant to say that Lebanon has water, I don't know if they have oil reserves or not.

I think that there should be more female leaders in this world and I think that some of the women who post on this site, including 4Canada, would make fine leaders.

WOW! That is some preface! Is it a shot? he said jokingly<br />
<br />
To make this a gender issue is to display faulty reasoning. I see it as a mind set issue rather one of gender.<br />
<br />
Please consider this; by exercising our vote to favour the guys with the best spin doctors it is we the voters who shoulder the blame for who we elect.<br />
<br />
My recently acquired appreciation for critical thinking and philosophy have shown me that the lack of those fields of study are directly responsible for how we as humans operate<br />
<br />
Please read the info at the following urls to see where I am going with this. <br />
<br />
It seems that our poorly presented arguments result in escalation of aggression rather than soothe them.<br />
<a href="http://www.logicalfallacies.info/">http://www.logicalfallacies.info/</a> <br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.logicalfallacies.info/notruescotsman.html">http://www.logicalfallacies.info/notruescotsman.html</a> <br />
No True Scotsman&#8217;<br />
Explanation<br />
<br />
The no true Scotsman fallacy is a way of reinterpreting evidence in order to prevent the refutation of one&#8217;s position. Proposed counter-examples to a theory are dismissed as irrelevant solely because they are counter-examples, but purportedly because they are not what the theory is about.<br />
Example<br />
<br />
If Angus, a Glaswegian, who puts sugar on his porridge, is proposed as a counter-example to the claim No Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge, the &#8216; No true Scotsman&#8217; fallacy would run as follows:<br />
<br />
(1) Angus puts sugar on his porridge.<br />
(2) No (true) Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.<br />
Therefore:<br />
(3) Angus is not a (true) Scotsman.<br />
Therefore:<br />
(4) Angus is not a counter-example to the claim that no Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.<br />
<br />
This fallacy is a form of circular argument, with an existing belief being assumed to be true in order to dismiss any apparent counter-examples to it. The existing belief thus becomes unfalsifiable.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is another example to study in the gender differences<br />
It seems to me the obverse applies when it comes to spiritual a leader, that is, that it is the men who get the nod, Jesus, Mohamed, Buddha, et al.<br />
<br />
I don&#8217;t see it any more reasonable that males should hold the balance in spiritual matters.<br />
<br />
<br />

Arthur thanks for such a thoughtful response. I love the Condor Rice tag and even though I agree with you about her and that there are other power deranged women as well I would love to experiment with Condor being surrounded by ONLY women. Although I think she's had one too many experiements done on her already I wouldn't hesitate to say she'd be an entirely different person. I think the BIGGEST mistake women in power positions make is that they have chosen to be like men rather than themselves which can make them very unattractive as well. Balance would be the best solution and with the more progressive parties like the NDP, CAP and the Greens I think we'll have it if we all survive the next 20 years. Quebec is years ahead of the rest of us in this regard.

I was really just wondering what men thought of this article while reading it? Or do you? I know I saw a male comedian once that said "women always want to know what men are thinking and when men say nothing, well, I'm here to tell you, we are thinking nothing." I asked Mr. 4Canada if that was true and he said "pretty much". But if that was women acting like these guys in the article I would have been mortified to be a woman.

Milton,

I agree with you here, but I also believe that some of the above is valid as part of the SHOW that does distract from the real problems.

That's just too funny as I was responding to Arthur with the quip from the comedian (see response to Arthur) you were writing this - a confimation that Mr. 4Canada and the comedian were right and that I may as well forget about asking anymore.

AND, Thanks for that link and guess what I found there?: "Who wouldn't be ready to get up and head-butt the man instantly, Zinadine-like?" (I had no idea that same reference was there) That really made me laugh.

Diogenes,

Not a shot to kill. There are some great men out there and I have been married to one of them for 30 years but he and the others I have met or know are not leading the world from "power" positions, they're the ones keeping it together.

And, ya what's up with the holy MEN?

I agree about the women that post here and thanks for the vote of confidence and I'll continue to lead from behind.

"U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice looked even more pathetic than usual after proclaiming a temporary humanitarian ceasefire in Lebanon -- which Israel promptly ignored. She deserves to be fired."

As she is also a "dangerous creature to world peace when given power," I guess 4Canada would suggest that Condi has too much male testostorone.

Male nor female deserve to be sole proprietor. Presently the world is asking the biggest military force in the world, to do something. The Commander & chief of this force don't want to. The Americans have become powerful because the world asked them to. Any other country that would attempt to walk through the door and take over, would be flatly refused. The USA has bases in every crook and cranny. If not by invitation then by purchase and sometimes by force. The World stood by and now expects something in return. Americans have been blunt from the start. They do nothing without gain. Today we are shocked and dismayed because the USA is taking it's time reacting, while balancing the pro's and con's. We have contributed by relying on the Americans and became incapable of handling world affairs. Shouldn't we because less reliant on the USA? Surely the citizens of the world can do it without them.
