U.S. pundits unleash anti-Canada rhetoric

"It only eggs them on. Canada is essentially a stalker, stalking the United States, right? Canada has little pictures of us in its bedroom, right?"

"It's unrequited love between Canada and the United States. We, meanwhile, don't even know Canada's name. We pay no attention at all," he said.

And Carlson wasn't alone in his criticism.

"So have the Canadians gotten a little too big for their britches?" Fox News host Neil Cavuto asked his viewers last week. "Could our neighbours to the north soon be our enemies?"

Even the press secretary to former Republican senator Bob Dole weighed in, charging in a Washington Times commentary that Canada is a haven for terrorists.

"Can Canada really be considered our friend anymore?" he wrote. "What other question can be asked when the Canadian government not only willingly allows Islamic terrorists into their country but does nothing to stop them from entering our nation?"

Simply pathetic. There's no other way to describe such immaturity and there's no reason for anyone to take it seriously. If we were any more compliant to them they'd be calling us pushovers; when we're critical of the U.S. we're "retarded"? That doesn't even make sense.

Laugh it off. The United States is probably the most dysfunctional democracy in the western world and, if anything, we should all strive to be less like them. For the outsider looking in, it is very apparent that the American Empire is in the early stages of demise as the world turns its back on the U.S. and looks east toward the rising Chinese superpower.

Well think about it, if it was not for these corrupt dirty political parties here in Canada, they would have nothing to say about us.
You may blame it on the " Canadian Government " for the environmental damage here in Canada, but it really is the doing of the Governing Party , they are the ones that abuse our power and trust.

Until we the people take back what is "our government" from these vile corrupt political parties we will for ever be screwed over.

The party system is devised to steal, lie and cheat the people out of their taxes and their resourses... what other purpose does a party represent or more to the point haven't they been raping us for years?

We are just to dam lazy to say enough already, we are a weak kneed bunch of spineless people who would sooner be stolen blind that stand up and fioght back.

The Americans are laughing their guts out at us up here and go figure, why wouldn't Quebec want to leave this corrupt enlish pile of bullshit politics? God bless Quebec for seeing the light . We are truly the fools of the Western world.

There are the enlightened, as well as the fools, in every place.

Get used to it; as our level of animosity rises to something approaching what you have shown us for decades in order to cover your unbelievable insecurity you are going to see more and more hostility. Who knows, maybe one day there might be a website like Viveleamerica.us that tears down Canada to make Americans feel better about themselves.

For god's sake leave the yanks alone, look at our own frigging backwards country. I have never notioced before until the Gomery Commission , but we really are a bunch of god dam fools here.

We run the honest people out of the country and then we elect the dam crooks and we keep doing it over and over> I gues we think we are going to get it right some day.

Here we are .. the liberal stole from the country and they are number one in the poles and we even go as far as to place Paul Martin as the best leader. (STUPID OF WHAT )

This is a man that registers his ships off shore, takes $168 million of our tax dollars and applies them to his company... while our public infrastructire falls apart because HE tells us we do not have the funding to put into it. ( So for christ sakes.. leave the yanks alone, we really do look quite stupid)

You guys actually could use a vive L`America. And let`s remember, it`s not just liberals that are treasonous sellouts. The conservatives under Brian Muldoon did a fine job in giving America her coveted northern prize. And that`s the main reason we have a site like Vive Le Canada!

Simply paethetic, you're right. No, wait! You're wrong, it's we Canadians who are pathetic! But you are right, there is no reason for the rest of the world to take us seriously. You say the United States is the most dysfunctional democracy in the world? Being a Canadian saying that you just lost all credibility in my eyes. And you're a good example of what's wrong with this country I'm sorry to say.

Canada does not have an elected Senate as all senators are appointed by one man. The Prime Minister appoints judges to the Supreme Court, the Auditor General, the CBC, the RCMP, and the civil service (most especially Crown Corporations). When one individual controls the Senate, the judiciary system, the police, crown property, the media, and the bureaucracy you have a dictatorship. Add onto that the fact that our head of state is from another country, and you have anything but a democracy.

The Liberal Party of Canada was suspected of stealing tens of millions of dollars in the province of Quebec, money that was meant for national unity. The Prime Minister sets the limits for the investigation, prevent the RCMP from exploring every possible area and lead, appoints the head of the committee set up to investigate what happened, and receives the report ahead of the rest of the country. Canada is a country where the criminals control both the trial and the judge and punish themselves. Not only are the Liberals still in power, they're going to get re-elected!

And if you want to talk about dysfunction look no further than the provinces. Quebec extorts billions out of the federal government and the other wealthier provinces, enacts undemocratic laws (Bill 101), and threatens to seperate when it suits their needs. Sedition is the tradition. Quebec refuses to join Canada by sigining the Charter, but they don't seem to have a problem with taking billions of dollars from Ontario and Alberta?

Alberta is a province with a wonderful democractic record and a booming economy, but all they get from Ontario is snickers and jeers about being "right-wing, bible thumping, redknecks". Ontarians tell Albertans, if you want to get anything done, join our party. Albertans naturally refuses so Ontario takes their money. Meanwhile the Liberals keep the East poorer and more destitute compard with the rest of the country, but like a junkie keeps them coming back for more by opening the federal coffers when the polls go down. Bribe the east, keep them poor, and then turn around and act as their saviour. Pathetic.

And don't try and say they're democratically elected by the Canadian people. Only 35% of 60% of the Canadian public vote Liberal. That's around four million people out of almost thirty three. How deficient is our electoral system to allow this to happen? But instead of trying to fix the problem, Canadians will say "look at the United States and George Bush, he stole the 2000 election!!!". Pathetic.

My problem with my country and my fellow citizens is that they seem so anxious to point out other countries and other people's problems that they blind themselves to the problems at hand here in Canada. Instead of acknowledging the fact that WE ARE THE MOST DYSFUNCTIONAL DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD, they wave flags and talk about compassion and tolerance, criticise the Americans, or shrug their shoulders and say "well, they're all crooks" or "there's nothing I can do". At least fifty million Americans got off their ass last year and decided to do something. That's asking a little too much to expect from this country.

If this were Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, or most countries in the European Union the Liberals wouldn't even be a factor in an election. Instead, the people of Canada will be falling over themselves in order to get to the ballot box and vote Liberal. Welcome to the new Italy with a standard of living worse than Ireland's to boot.

We let the parties steal for us and then we pick on the USA .. what kind of an asshole would do that?

Canada is not a county ,,, its a place where liars and thives live and operate within the political system. Canada is legalized crime. We ware it well and we let these political parties get away with it too.

I am a Canadian and every day goes by I lose respect for our political system and these god dam political parties.

And yet we get called anti-american when we say the USA should uphold its international trade agreements. TANJ.

Until we can grasp there is a symbiotic relationship between those who rule, set law, agendas for education, health care, start war and shape your thoughts there is no chance of freedom.

Canada has some problems, yes.
- Our government is corrupt;
- our provinces constantly resist federation;
- we lack leadership;
- our democratic system is anything but perfect.

However, that doesn't Canada is anything less than a great country. Whose more dysfunctional? Well, let's consider:
- Canada is respected as a world leader in promting human rights;
- Canada maintains one of the highest standards of living in the world;
- Canadians are welcomed all over the world;
- Canada provides basic services, such as healthcare, to every citizen;
- The United States has a rate of poverty that's criminally high;
- Racial tension is rampant;
- The disparity of wealth is unimaginable in any other country;
- In the U.S. tens of thousands of families lose their life savings to pay for necessary medical procedures;
- The U.S. is violently aggressive and has a history of creating terrrists and putting murderous dictators in power around the world.

I could go on but you get the picture.
People like you who turn their backs on this great country instead of actually trying to do anything constructive to help it serve no purpose and ought to be send to live in some other country and see how much they miss Canada.

Sure, there is some corruption and sure we have our problems, but what country doesn't? You don't think the billions GW Bush has robbed from his people is any less criminal?

Get your head out of your ass buddy, and see the light!
