Any one else watch it tonight? Was a great show as always. Funniest segment was with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.
Gotta have Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell are hilarious actors.
By the way, Canadian cutie Rachel McAdams won 3 awards tonite. When she won the award for best villain in Mean Girls she said something along the lines of "This goes to show that us Canadian girls aren't so nice. Thank you, I'll take this award home with pride".
Jimmy Falon was pretty funny too. Liked the Joke with Chris Rock being in "The Longest Yard" and "Madagascar". He said that Chris Rock said "the only place white people want to see a black man is in Jail or in a Zoo". lol.
Now Rachel McAdams. She is hotter than Elisha Cuthbert could ever hope to be.
I was actually a little disturbed by Katie Holmes. WAY too many actresses are getting out of control with the anorexic look. Pretty soon, it's going to be similar to how they have EMTs at boxing matches to revive KO'ed boxers -- they'll have EMTs at award shows to revive feinted actresses.
EAT SOMETHING!!!
Yeah, I couldn't believe it when they introduce the cast of The Dukes of Hazzard movie... Jessica Simpson as Daisy?? The girl is so scrawny looking I doubt she could even turn the key in the ignition, never mind be convincing behind the wheel.
OMG. Did I really just put "Dukes of Hazzard" AND "Jessica Simpson" together with "convincing"??
Time for a long rest.
Don't get me started on Stiffler as Bo Duke either...
They aren't trying to make a Dukes of Hazzard movie, they're trying to make American Pie with the General Lee.
As a kid i loved the show. We'd play "Dukes of Hazzard" zooming around on our bikes. Looking at the show today...
Catherine Bach, great in a pair of shorts, but not exactly Katherine Hepburn. So I'm not surprised they are playing it for laughs. Of course the essence of good comedy is to be serious about it. Actually, Stiffler might do a good job, Evolution, ("Ca-Caw! Ca-Caw!"), The Rundown, The Medallion. I guess I shouldn't hold American Pie against him.
With Jessica though, it might be a case of "she's so bad, it's good"
Shouldn't that be "she's so good it's bad?" American Pie wasn't a bad movie but it doesn't jive with what the Dukes of Hazzard show was about.
Maybe they're trying something along the lines of Stiller and Wilson in Starsky and Hutch?
I suppose they could be. But I don't think it'll work with the Dukes.
