Twitter's rules on anything are fairly loose at best. Their only real defense is that it's difficult to police a billion posts per day, at least half of which are insults or calls for someone to be killed.

You Tube, Facebook, and Twitter are running the very real risk of having their monopolies busted up by the US Department of Justice or else finding themselves regulated as public utilities.
They play this political censorship crap at their own peril.

In some ways it would probably be a good thing that Twitter, FB, et al were to be regulated more. They’ve become a Wild West of near lawlessness. From trolls to bots and foreign powers using them for malice, social media is getting to the point where their protestations of free enterprise are ringing hollow.

I disagree. I think it can be political and more often than not, is. I know different Social Media content creators from the right are complaining about being censored every day. But the complaints are not just coming from the right. I hear it from the anti-SJW Liberal side too.
Also from the Reddit/4 chan/Kekistani type side. Here's my personal favorite, Social Media, gamer, streamer, political troll and Comedienne, Brittany Venti, calling for a revolution after being 'shadow-bann-ehd on YouTib and Twitcher.'
