I don't know how many of you have seen this yet but my goodness what a dissapointment.

I won't go into too much detail on this post casue i don't want to ruin whats left in the movie. But let me say that the action was there but the story was left wanting, and i don't mean me wanting more.

   

PHUT ! ! I havent even seen the SECOND part yet let alone watch the third episode... Ill wait and watch it on DVD or VHS at home when its renting for 2.99 for 7 days LMAO

   

I disagree, saw it tonight, and i thought it was awsome, and i thought the story and ending was great. I think they did kidna expplain everything. just not right in the face explain.

I wrote a huge post on another site, then clicked submit, and it screwed up loosing my whole post, i was so pissed, so i hafta cool down before goign though the whole process again.

   

Thats a good idea Canadaka. I wrote that when I was in a bad mood as well. I have arguing with a co worker about the movie and I guess it wasn't the movie that I was mad at. I was expecting an end. Which in a way it was but I was hoping to see one of the two civilizations DIE.

I mean we know that this peace won't last. The oracle Knew it wouldn't last. So I guess I felt gipped that I didn't see THE END. You know the battle where humanity dies. or the explosion that disables the machine city's link to the feild. And can't hold power long enough to survive. Thats what I wanted to see.

I just hope they don't try and make another movie. I wouldn't mind watching another movie like animatrix. A bunch of short stories that answer some of the mysteries of the matrix.

Anyway I am gonna wait for the dvd to come out before I see it again. The theatre here has a cheap night of 5.50 and the renteals are 4.75 but i don't think the movie is worth it.

   

Extremely visually satisfying, of course, I saw it in the IMAX theatre, so..

But I'd have to agree.. the story really was a let down compared to the other two, and the ending seemed sortof.. "Studio" blah. I hope they have the director's alternate ending on the dvd, or he mentions something in the commentary.

I did hear rumours that they may make a prequel movie, but I think this trend of making multiple movies is really weakening the impact of a decent movie.. Kill Bill, LOTR, etc etc.. just another way of gauging us for more money.

Then again, how this relates to all the Friday and Nightmare movies, I am at a loss.

So.. nevermind.

My Theory:
They say that Agent smith and Neo are the same they are ONE. smith is like the alter bad side of neo kidna. so what is happening to one happens to another in a sense. So as smith goes through an evolutionary leap for machines being able to go outside the matrix into a humans brain and control it, at the same time neo can become part machine and a program. He just doesn't ralise this.

This is what his powers are, he is like controling the mchaine, shutting them down or whatever. And this is how he comes to defeat Smith at the end of the movie, he beats him by becoming a program, with a little help of deception from the oracle.

   

better than the second one the death scene was HILARIOUS the entire theatre was laughing. good times...neo...so...blind.

   

I fail to see the comedy in the death scene. it was completly expected but not FUNNY.

   

At the end of the movie you see NEO laying in the hugh crater don't you? Where did he go after that or was i imagining it? I still don't understand who the architech was either. Hes not human, is he machine? What is going on, i don't want a fourth movie, but a fourth movie could explain alot of things, like where is NEO gone to, what is goin on between the humans and the machines now? Are they going to become friends? Will smith ever return? Confusing..........

   

I dont think they are going to make another movie. Maybe another short story collection. Neo is preumably dead, So along with Smith he would have dissapeared or turned into an agent like smith did. He will stop the humans from showing people in the matrix what the real world is about so that peace can be maintained.

We are looking at the end of a cycle. It is the same as all the other cycles except that this time Zion wasn't wiped out. Yet. I don't think the peace will last for long. Humans will free too many people or the machines will need more power or something will just set off a short fuse.

I think the architec was kinda like the math co processor of the system He makes sure there is a balance in the system.

I liked the last movie. It was a good conclusion. It was kinda funny after Smith 'killed' Neo, where he''s rambling about its not right or something. Then he blew up.

   

The movie was a downer for me, here's why.

It took me at least 2 viewings of the first two parts to understand them - and the more I watched them the more I got. Real thinkers, not something you can just have on in the background while you do dishes and can still follow the movie perfectly.

The final one was 90% shooting, battles, things blowing up...felt like Stallone or Schwarzenegger (sp) was going to jump out an any moment and spout off some cheezy line.

Way too much "action" in the form of battles, and not enough thought required of the audience. If this was a stand a lone type of movie, it was good. But it does not fit with the first two IMHO.
