I have recently been looking around for just such resources. We have no cable TV but have high-speed Internet access. We used to have cable, but decided we didn't want to be forced to take complete packages, with a lot of crap channels we don't want. We'd rather just get the channels we want.

We really only need about four channels:
Discovery
Food Network
Treehouse (for the children)
Spike
a movie channel

Even better if we could just get the specific shows we want, when we want them.
