*** WARNING -SERIOUS SPOILERS BELOW ***
Visuals were awesome but did anyone else feel ripped off by the storyline? So much seemed to be a reboot of the original Star Wars movie.
- Episode IV: Rebel droid with map of the Death Star pursued to a desert planet
- Episode VII: Rebel droid with map to Luke Skywalker pursued to a desert planet
- IV: "chose one" living harsh life on Desert Planet, unaware of their destiny
- VII: "chose one" living harsh life on Desert Planet , unaware of their destiny
-IV: "chosen one" and droid shoot their way out from Desert planet on Millennium Falcon
-VII: "chosen one" and droid shoot their way out from Desert planet on Millennium Falcon
IV & VI: Empire has moon-sized weapon that kills planets (blown up by rebels)
VII: First Order has planet-sized weapon that kills entire solar systems (blown up by rebels)
I feel like there are more but I can't remember at the moment
The daddy issues.
If it aint broke dont fix it
Chewbacca's scream was painful, the ending with Luke and Rey was good that's about it.
P.S : Even with the rehash of previous plotlines it was still a pretty enjoyable movie. Specially when you go in blind having not watched even a single trailer, seen a still or even read any thing on it. To be honest it was a pleasant surprise to see Hans Solo and chewy cuz I had no clue they were in it.
The only thing I knew about the movie while going in was Hamil might be in it and a good portion was shot in my old playground. The Liwa desert. Ao I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Although i dont think it would have made a big difference if I saw it on the regular screen instead of Imax 3D

Also I thought Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher were terrible. They had shit lines written for them and their acting was not good. I like Ford in almost all of his other movies, but I'm glad they won't be keeping him on. Hopefully the write Fisher out soon as well.
Hopefully they update the force-ghosts for Episode VIII.
One big difference was the power level of the villain vs the protagonist. In 4,5,6 Vader was stronger than Luke even until the very end. This one, not even close. Where is the challenge when Kylo ren can't even force grab the light saber from Rey in their first fight. Even in the phantom menace it took 2 Jedi to kill Darth Maul. It's like OK Dark side, send in the bench warmers.
And he was all like"I can show you the ways of the force". Rey's like, "Bitch please. I just kicked your ass after a 15 min crash course. And your grand pappy was the "chosen one" lol.
I hope Rey turns evil.
Rey turning to the dark side taking Kylo Ren's place in the First Order would be awesome!
Not bad, but not great. It didn't go the way I would have expected it would go, and there wasn't enough emotional connection in this movie. At least Obi-wan was a stranger to most when he died without people weeping, Qui-gon had a funeral, and Padme as a woman and princess was rightfully worshipped after he death. But not even a moment of silence for Mr. Solo.
