I've heard it's better than the previous two, but then that's not saying a lot.

If anyone is interested in checking out a bunch of reviews for the movie, check out www.rottentomatoes.com. It's a site which collects reviews from many different newspapers and magazines from all over N. America. If find it very handy.

I haven't seen ST:sith yet but figure I'll love it. I absolutely loved episodes 1 & 2 and could never figure out why so many people panned it?? Lucas said he wrote them all with KIDS in mind. I saw the first 3 in theaters as a kid and went in to watch the last 2 thinking like a kid and loved them both. In fact the phantom menace is one of my fav movies and I have seen it at least 20+ times and own them all. Why did so many people expect "gone with the wind", "roots", "casablanca" type epic stories? Lucas always said the films were mostly about adventure and action based on old westerns & samurai films. I try and watch them all with a 10 year old mentality (not a big stretch) and love them.

I doubt any kid found the love story and the senate dialogue riveting. You will see the difference when you see the next one trust me.

I can't wait to see it. 8O

I saw it and it was great.

However, there was one thing I didn't like and it was the interpretation of the timeline. Everything seems to happen under 24-48 hours but in that time, Padme went into a full pregnancy. A lot of things happened during what seems to be a quite short time. But events keep going.
That was my bad comment. 8)
Except that, it was awesome !

Well, I think everyone knows that Anakin aka Darth Vader is the father of Luke and Leia since 1982 !!!!

I went to see the film today as it was my daughters b-day. I like the way this picture tied the package together. There were a few editing gaffs like the scene were Skywalker becomes the apprentice, notice the change in position of the lightsaber on the floor.

Overall I would give it a good score just for making the story come full circle.

We went on a road trip to Kamloops a few weeks ago, and the kids watched the original Star Wars movies a few times on the way up and back. One thing that struck me - they pronounced it Lee-ah, but I thought it was Lay-uh.
:?

Where was it pronounced Lee-ah? In the movie? I agree with you, I thought it was Lay-uh.

I didn't like it overall however R2 makes MUCH better comic relief than Jar Jar. The only acting of note was Obi-Wan and maybe Padme. The special effects were great and space battles were fun but Mace and Count Dooku were taken out like an afterthought. General Grievous felt like 'insert defacto generic bad guy here' no back ground on him except he must be killed.
General Grievous is cyborg. He is coughing because in the second round of clone wars toons, Mace does a force crush on his torso.

Shitty that Lucas basically forces you to see the toons or grill someone who has in order to get that. Same thing with Anakin's scar: happened in the toons.

The jedis with Windu were the WORST JEDI EVER! Hi meet my saber did you blink? You are dead.

Still a good movie, a lot are saying as good as Empire. What made Empire so good is that it was classic space opera, this wasn't. It was a patch job that uses glitzy special effects to glossed over a weak plot. Given all that there were still a few good lines. My favorite was, "So this is how liberty dies - to thunderous applause."

Padme just 'giving up her will to live' was lame. I was pissed that they didn't give any time for Raith Sienar or Grand Moff Tarkin. It would have been interesting to get some detail on those characters, disappointing.

Yes... in the movies. I don't think I heard Lay-uh at all. The other dad we drove with thought the same.

That's weird. :?
