I watched this movie last night. I have the original and the new one is pretty good. Some things are different, but overall it's good. Alot scarier than the original, so better in that sense as well.

Im not that big on scary movies.....too scary....

But it looks cool, maybe Ill get it on dvd and watch at home during the day

It wasn't cheap. The latest Exorcist was cheap. I was wondering if Amityville would be the same but I was pleasantly surprised. No. 1 at the box office for it's first weekend too.

   

the only part i like in the new exorcist was where the kid got ripped apart by the dogs... that was funny

   

That is one of the cheap parts of the movie LOL... nice *cough* graphics there....

Speaking of scary movies....anyone see Final destination (the first one)? Now that was freaky 'cause they died doing regular stuff. Right after watching the movie, my bf got up and said he was gonna walk the dog and would be right back.....yeah, right back my ass! Like I would stay home alone so the perfectly working fan could all of a sudden dismantle and chop off my head! Yeah...uh-huh. Haven't seen a scary movie since.

   

Amityville remake was as pathetic as the origina moviel. I read the book when I was 10 and it scared the Bejesus outta me
