The question is simple.Who is/was the best James Bond? I expect I will get a debate as heated as I did with my best Star Trek Captain poll.

For me it is very hard to pick.

I always liked Roger Moore.

Roger Moore indeed.

I liked Moore as he always played the part quite tongue in cheek. I always expected him to start giggling. Love the genera though.

I think there is one other movie hero guy who needs to be serialized like James Bond. That's John McClane of the Die Hard series. That's a great set of movies where we get to suspend reality for 2 hours, just like in the Bond movies.

I think I have to go with Roger Moore, but Connery is a close second. I think we can all agree that Lazenby was the worst.

With Dalton a close second.

You got that right, I was just about to post that.

Just because I feel a little sorry for the guy, I voted for George Lazenby - he wasn't a bad Bond by any means, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a fine entry into the Bond pantheon.

I voted for Connery because my favorite Bond film is "Never Say Never Again". Roger Moore was the worst Bond, but, For Your Eyes Only is one of the best Bond films. Too bad his other portrayals were terrible.

That's why Moore was so good. He never took his role seriously. It was always like you expected him to turn to the camera and say something like: "do you old men want young chicks like I get, because you too can do it. Just call 555-1212 and for only $29.99 I will send you my book Get young chicks like James Bond.

The one sweet think Her Majesty's Secret Service was the bobsleigh fight.

well, the "campy" appeal isn't lost on me. But Connery's got to be the champ. If you like a satirical Bond, you ought to love Connery in "Never Say Never Again" as much as I do.

I voted for Craig, it may be the writing is better, but I prefer the more violent Bond.
