They probably could have had a BoB feel to it if they had followed the Marine Raiders.

Of course the problem with that is the "copying" of BoB label possibly being applied and the fact that the Raiders did not survive the war as an intact unit.

It'll get brutal on Iwo and Okinawa. I knew that Tarawa was hellish, but I'd forgotten about Peleliu.

Gonna have find something good on that.

Just finished watching the last episode....overall, EXCELLENT! Different than Band of Brothers (and shouldn't be compared to B o B, really) but I liked the darker side of emotion as portrayed in the Pacific. It was a nice wrap-up episode. I enjoyed it. Encouraged me to read 'Helmet for my Pillow', which I recommend.
