Gladiator what?

Give me a break. What on earth would make them think that there is a sequal here? Truly grapsing at straws, well they have been for a long time I guess eh?

   

I doubt it will happen. This rumour has been flying around since 2002. Well that was the earliest I heard of it.

   

I hope it does though, with each new and worse and worse sequal they come out with it gets that much more entertaining. I go and see them because ya have to. I mean it's like watching Tom Sizemore in court, ya just gotta see what the hell he's up to now.

The only sequal, and I wouldn't even call it a sequal more of a continuing story line, that I can say I have no problem with is Sin City. I mean they are great books and they did a pretty decent job with the movie. I know it's dipping in the comic pool, but that's okay if it's done right. Most of the time it isn't.

   

Most sequels are not as good as the original. Although there is the odd time a sequel is better, as with The Empire Strikes Back.

   

I consider the SW movies exempt from talking about good or bad sequals as he really had to do them, and they were planned all along really. Where as most of these idiots wait and see how the first one did and then they try and cash in on the ticket sales.

It's the reason the the movie industry is in such sad shape in the US, Canada is different, we really don't go for the box office thing as they do.

   

Worst sequal of all time-Highlander II. The first one ended everything. That whole Highlander thing has continuity errors galore.


Although the Bond movies have quite a few good films made after the original.

   

Ya really Highlander was good but I don't know what they were trying to do with the others.

Bond is a perfect example of movies that aren't sequals, it's a continuing story series.

And then there are those that just can't seem to let it die. How many more times are they going to blow Batman up? I mean what is it with that friggin title? I expect Oliver Stone to come out with his version soon.

You can pitch anything in Hollywood.

I quite enjoyed the latest batman film. Most sequels mooch off the original film's popularity/quality. Batman Begins follows a different storyline from the others, and provides a very different angle.

   

How about the Planet of the Apes movie a few years ago. It sucked....the very first one I enjoyed but not the others.
