I saw it a few weeks ago myself. I totally forgot what an awesome actor Hugo Weaving is.

It's nice to see a 'different' kind of movie that takes chances in trying to get its message across.

Love this movie. Its very rare for a political movie to actually be intertaining and still be thought provoking. I really enjoyed it.

They were awfully hard on poor Natalie Portman, though.

Given the opportunity I would be, too! PDT_Armataz_01_28

I wouldn't call it Battlestar Galactica bad (simply because BG is awesome), but this was the first movie I've walked out of in years.

Remember, remember the Fifth of November my ass!

Yikes, I saw the movie on the plane to europe this summer sitting next to my toddler. I suppose it seemed fluid compared to her. :D

I liked the movie. Of course, it plays to my underlying fears about religion, government, and the people that try to blend these two things.

No Siskel or Ebert am I but....... PDT_Armataz_01_33 ...if given a choice between watching this movie and having my testies infested by the fleas of a thousand dogs and being forced to pick them off one by one while wearing boxing gloves........I think I would choose the fleas.

From what I've heard the movie is some sort of obscure political screed against the Bush Administration. They could've saved a lot of money by just re-releasing any Michael Moore movie.

Yeah, I pretty much ignored any underlying social commentary - I liked it because it's got some great dialogues/monologues (especially Hugo Weaving's), and there's some pretty neat cinematic stuff as well.

Did I say it was a bad movie yet?

Blue_Nose @ Tue Oct 03, 2006 8:54 am

shut up.

phiscott @ Tue Oct 03, 2006 9:08 am

I thought that it was a pretty good movie (even though I don't know who Hugo Weaving is). But a good movie nonetheless.
