Hey now , the war wasn't about OIL - it was about weapons of mass destruction .

It would be extremely funny if there wasn't some truth to it . Now , about those weapons of mass destruction . Oh , wait we can't be bothered with that right now , we're too busy trying to get Iraq up and running properly and , Oh wait , - no actually we're to busy dealing with terrorists outside of Iraq . Gee , I thought invading Iraq and getting rid of Saddam would reduce terrorism . Oh well , looking on the bright side , we'll have cheaper gas prices soon enough .

It's understandable that people are upset with the yanks motive's for invading Iraq..(including myself)...but when push come's to shove...Saddam had to go and the world is a better place for it.
I like to take a moment to thank the people who did the dirty work of the american political monster ,who had no choice or say in the desicion's whether they went or not.....personally i can't comprehend what it would feel like to kill another human being and then have to try and live with myself...pasit03fat

Saddam would have gone eventually anyway. By the US acting unilaterally they've given themselves a chance to promote their own boy in their. It wasn't that long ago that Saddam was their boy though. If things don't change politically in the US, and I don't mean by voting in some Democrats, there will be another war in Iraq to get rid of a dictator...likely within twenty years.

Probably less!

I've never agreed with the lesser of 2 evils theory fatbasturd! If someone over throws a dictator in order to gain power and promote their own agenda are they not also a dictator? In my opinion Iraq just has an American dictator now! If the true goal was to free Iraq more thought would have been put into the aftermath of the war and the attitudes of the culture! There is no mechanism or mindset in Iraq to support the successful creation of a democratic society, so they will infact fall under the rule of another dictator if and when the Americans pull out or they will remain under the dictatorial rule of an American Government which will add fuel to the anti American sentiment in the Middle East and increase terrorist risks! Therefore the war did nothing to reduce terrorism nor make Iraq a free democratic society! The war was a) A means of saving face in light of the failure to capture Bin Laden and b) A grab for oil! There is no other logical reason in my opinion!
