ok, so far, I have never actually cared much for watches except of course their function, but now I want to treat myself to a fancy watch, something to go along with a business suit. Although I would be willing to spend a nice amount on a cool watch like that, I still wouldn't exactly be able to afford a rolex. So I'm basically looking for a classy but somewhat inexpensive watch, or good deals on brand-name watches. Anyone got any ideas or advice?
Sneaky spammer.
Try a store.
I'm sure he'll find a good site on the Internet where you can buy fine quality fake big name watches... and share it with us.
Nateman? Curtman's duller (if that's even possible) brother?
I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Kenneth Cole and Bulova are both quality brands who make some nice pieces that will go well with a suit, for a reasonable price. If you feel a little more daring you try looking for Nixon watches. Most of them won't go with a suit , but there are a few that could be made to work.
oh come on, I was just asking a question.
Anyway, thanks Unsound, for the advice. I checked out their websites and they are both quite affordable, especially Kenneth Cole, although I liked the Bulova ones better.
But I think I'll be going with one of them, probably Bulova...
I checked out your previous posts Nateman, so I knew you weren't spamming, but here's some unrequested advice not concerning watches.
Be careful about asking for product advice when you're not known at a board. It's an old spammer trick to request such advice, then if you get away with it, post a link, and say "Hey, found one."
seems like you guys are really edgy around here. Sorry to have startled you
I will keep that in mind in the future
What style of watch? Looking for a big submariner type? Or more of a thin unobtrusive one?
I'd say it should be more unobtrusive. I thought about ebay as well but, honestly, I don't trust private sellers... just had some bad experience with that.
Anyway, as I said I think i will go with bulova, they're pretty nice and affordable.
Sure, you have to go with whatever you're comfortable with.
I've had over 200 transactions on ebay and I've only ever been burned once (on a $25 item), and for that I got my money back.
