"One final thing Jack, while you're thinking of hopefully abandoning this rhetoric about those mature democracies who are better than we are or the American democracy that is supposedly smarter than we are, change change change, please stop embarrassing yourself in trying to delegitamize the Conservative victory by saying that 62 percent voted for change. Keep doing that and somebody is bound to look at how few points you put on the board in your own riding. Even though none of your opponents had anywhere near the kind of media attention that you have had, even though not one of them is a house hold name, their coalition vote - if you will – would beat you. You got 20 thousand votes in Toronto Danforth. But the coalition vote total of your opponents came out to 25 thousand. Twenty-five thousand for them. Twenty thousand for you. Did the people of your riding vote for getting rid of you, Jack? Were they voting for change? Hey, I could run the numbers up the flag pole in your lovely wife's riding. But I don't want to make this too personal, nor too cruel. I think you get the point Jack.
The moral of this story Jack is simple. The system you are attacking actually works really well for you and your wife and other members of your party which don't sell change at all, or hope for that matter. You sell hopelessness. You run the country down, by riding the backs of those who are down and out and ultimately only your core support comes from those who are down and out and feeling rather hopeless. Change isn't what they are voting for, Jack. Unfortunately, they are the ones who have given up on change and you are just moving in to take advantage, just like you moved into Stephane Dion's life once he was out of luck and hope and money. Yes, the system works well for you Jack and so does this country that affords a minority party like yours far more media attention and money than most marginals get in other parts of the world."

I'm not a big Adler fan but he has his moments.
Cracker Jack's got some 'splainin to do
looks like the MAJORITY in Trinity Spadina wanted change as well as Mrs hiJack only got 40 % (25000 votes) of the vote vs 60%(36000) for the opposition
My least-favorite MP, NDP military critic, Dawn Black is talking about switching over to provincial politics . I think she seriously burned some bridges by refusing to talk to anyone about the coalition and now it's haunting her.
I think the "working man" angle is losing much of its shine.
Why is this only bashing the NDP? If this is a bash against the coalition, shouldn't that be the NDP + Liberals + Bloc?
hijack is the clown with the biggest floppy shoes.
I would love to hear Jack's response to that article. Actually I would like to hear from some of the coalition supporters who used the 62% nonsense as proof for wanting change?
He was on CKNW this afternoon telling us what the NDP would do to sop this crime spree in Vancouver. Aside from the usual, ban all handgun crap, he kept telling us all how they were behind all these crime bills the CPC tried to push through.
All of it was total crap and his usual pandering rubbish.
Jack is the lowest of the low. He disgusts me.
