The ads that the liberals are running make me laugh.

I was driving this morning, a radio ad came on.

two people having a discussion about how much Harper worries them.

the economy is in trouble, and Harper is just so calm! How can you trust a leader who remains calm at a time like this!

in other words, it's better to follow a leader who's done the chicken little sky is falling tapdance.

it's better to elect a fearmonger.

what fun!

Reverend Blair @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:25 pm

Harper isn't calm though, Uphill. He was asleep at the wheel. He was in denial. Now he's writing policy...taxpayer funded policy...on the back of a napkin.

Uphillbattle @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:28 pm

actually, what he has said about the canadian economy is completely true.

let's be honest... people aren't voting liberal because of Harper's economic management. They aren't going to vote for Dion, because they think he can do better.

they vote Liberal, because they have liberal ideology. they just have to come up with the right words to support whatever the Liberal party spits out.

such as Dion's 30 day plan, to come up with a plan.

you want to talk about writing on a napkin, look to your own house.

Reverend Blair @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:33 pm

Which statement did he make about the Canadian economy that was true, Uphill? He's made so many contradictory statements that I've lost track.

It's kind of funny...I saw a pollster on TV yesterday say that in the west people trust Harper on the economy, but in the east they trust Dion. So yeah, people are voting Liberal because of Dion's economic policy.

By the way, Uphill, if you'd been around here for more than a couple of posts you'd know that I'm not a Liberal. Please don't accuse me of that again.

Uphillbattle @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:44 pm

that the fundamentals of our economy are sound.

or did you miss the reports? #1 banking stability in the world? Not going to face a recession? best poised of the G7 to have growth when others are not?

please.

and sorry for calling you liberal. Just assumed, since it's the liberals who spend the majority of their time lying about Harper.

DerbyX @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:50 pm

Since the conservatives always tell lies we can assume that you really meant we spend all our time telling the truth about Harper.

Reverend Blair @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:53 pm

When Harper says the fundamentals are strong, he's thinking about getting Chuck McVety and Stockboy Day to carry a hide-a-bed for him, Uphill.

If the economy is strong, why has Harper been running around making up panic policy with my tax dollars?

Uphillbattle @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 1:16 pm

what panic policies? Buying high quality mortgates to help liquidity?

the governement is going to make money on that.

such a "waste" of your tax dollars, hmmm?

mixedfarmer @ Sat Oct 11, 2008 1:49 pm

that Prime Minister Stephen Harper was a member of the ultra-right wing Northern Foundation in 1989. Mr. Harrison documents that this Foundation was comprised of eugenics-inspired Neo-Nazi social Darwinist intellectuals.

The Northern Foundation of which Mr. Harper was a member, is a male-dominated and self-anointed "white brotherhood". Females are not excluded though, provided that they accept its highly conformist and male chauvinistic culture of fascism.
