I'm still not 100% sure how I will vote on Monday. I like a local candidate, but I dislike the party leader. I'm stumped.

Are you voting for your local candidate or for the party leader?

For the party leader... not that I dislike my local candidate, but he's not the favorite....

I usually vote for the party. Unless the local guy is a dick, that is.

For me if I could vote it would depend...For example in my riding (excluding the non-major parties as well as the greens) We have Bill Kelly(municiple politician), Chris Charlton(A woman...I don't know much about her she hasn't sent anything personal just the support jack layton stuff) and Don Graves(goes to my church sometimes). Now normally I would vote for the Party (not saying that mps don't have some discretion but generally they vote with the parties) but in this case I wouldn't. Why? Because I don't like bill kelly, ok so that'd leave me Chris or Don Graves, Chris has not sent anything around personal so I know nothing about her, at least the other candidates sent partionaly personal flyers. And I've met Don Graves, so out of the two who do you think I would like to have represent me...the person who is like a dog following Layton or a person who might vote the party line but would at least speak.

LOL, so that means you are voting for either 1) some other party or 2)Paul Martin.

I am so confused [huh]

Local.

The Cons have a 1st time runner after the last candidate they sent in (Keith's former aid when he was reform, John Cory) cratered the vote so bad he gave Keith the win. So his replacement is new and inexperienced. The choice in my riding is between Garrison (NDP) and Martin (Lib) who has actually done a great deal of work for the riding for the 12 years he has been in as an MP. Garrison may take it this time, however.

I prefer to vote for the platform, not the leader or the candidate.
