I agree. A guy who is cozy with Sinn Fein (which includes a few of my relatives) is reported in the press as...cozy with Sinn Fein which is now a legal and peaceful organization.

It's not news. It's also a really weak attack.

I'm cozy with (gasp!) CKA.

It'd be different if the guy were pictured with the North Korean dictator but, even then, who'd really care?

Well, this one is pretty lame as an attack goes. It's being sensationalized, but it's really a non-starter. If this is the worst the guy has in his closet then he's pretty clean as politicians go.

   

I agree it is being sensationalized and it is bullshit - but, again, if this is the worst anyone can say about the guy then he can't be too bad.

If the Conservatives are behind it then, at least in that riding, they're grasping at straws.

To clarify: Sinn Fein is just as legal as the Girl Scouts anymore. So if someone has SF friends then my response is 'So effin' what?'

Sid Ryan is not a that bad guy, I am not voting for him, but that was uncalled for.

After spending 4 years in Northern Ireland and having seen first hand the atrocities on both sides.

   

At UOIT we hosted a debate and i went there. From what i saw i wouldn't classify him as a terrorist. Left wing yes, but he is NDP. He seemed to be very honest and straight forward with what he had to say. Didn't notice any sort of terrorist connection durring the hour and a half long debate though

   

Yes I have. I lived in his riding for many years and friends have worked for him over the years on campaigns.
