I have started up the election poll like I did last federal election. Visiting any page on CKA outside the forum will prompt you with a large popup covering the site asking you to vote. Its not mandatory, but its in your face to try and get a large number of voters. The popup won't disapear until you vote or click the link at the bottom of the poll.

Round 1 results will be shown in 1 week.

You may only vote once and votes are kept secret, others can't see what you voted for.

Yup.

Looks like that is what's going to happen for real. The Conservatives will win a strong minority or weak majority while the Libs and NDP duke it out for official opposition.
