This is the Stephen Taylor blog but the video is straight from CPAC so I hope can avoid the usual partisan excuses. Watch the first Video.

In a nutshell, Garth goes door knocking and interviews his campaign managers son.
Caught in an obvious lie, he twists and squirms like a weasle.

I'm so glad he's a Liberal now.

Wow!!!!

This would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

RUEZ @ Mon Sep 15, 2008 8:50 pm

I watched that. I found it funny that the guy opens the door and says nice to meet you. However Garth goes right on asking him about the move and how things are going like they are old pals. The should have rehearsed that first.

Another one on Garth was the fact that, unlike all other candidates, he does not have an official agent managing his election funds. I believe that's in violation of elections Canada rules.
Will we see police and a film crew show up at his door though?

Just for the record...when was the last time that YOU avoided using a partisan excuse? <----rhetorical question.

Of course the Conservatives in the same riding arranged for an interview with a shop owner. She just happened to be the daughter of somebody working in their campaign. Taylor forgot to mention that in his blog.

ridenrain @ Tue Sep 16, 2008 6:46 am

Lol. I put that in because I knew the usual people would see the source and would protest, not looking to see the CPAC video.
I also watch the Libblogs and aside from their childish photo-shop cartoons that make puffins crap look intelligent, they do have some intelligent and well resourced bloggers.
Knowing who's got the story and who has the spin is the difference.

News is that Garth has apologized AGAIN.
I do seriously hope that this man leaves politics, never to return in any party.

Why can't you folks simply admit that this was a big deception?
Attacking the source or deflecting simply makes you look more partisan.

Reverend Blair @ Tue Sep 16, 2008 6:57 am

I never denied that it was a deception, I just pointed out that the Conservatives did the exact same thing in the exact same riding. If it was wrong for the Liberals to do it, then it was wrong for the Conservatives to do it too.

Now you're sounding like Derby.
Liberal candidate could be eating live puppies on parliament steps and all you'd say is he likes dogs.

Reverend Blair @ Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:08 am

Nah, but I would point out that the Conservative candidate was also eating puppies.

Contrary to anything you say I find fault when my party does wrong. The harshest criticism you have ever labelled out was "ya but the Libs ....".

You haven't cried about anything the CPC did even when it brought howls of outrage from you when done by the Liberals.

Prove that.
Even then, does it compare to what this candidate did?

DerbyX @ Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:17 am

BTW, RR

You wanted to know about the Libs blocking a sale like the CPC did.

They cancelled the sale of Pearson International Airport, one of the 78% of the promises kept which is about 70% more then Harper.

Reverend Blair @ Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:22 am

Prove what? As far as I know neither candidate was eating puppies.

As for the Conservative shop keeper, that Ormiston woman mentioned it as part of the story on the National last night.
