I live in downtown Moncton. So far I have received not a single visit from any of the parties, and only one leaflet from Brian Murphy (Liberal) and one from Charles Doucet (Conservative), both delivered to my mailbox from the postman, not a canvasser. That's it. Not a peep from any of the other parties and nothing but these two leaflets. Now I don't expect the Bloc here of course, but there is a candidate for the NDP and Green Party. Where are they? Why no knocks on my door from anyone? I haven't even seen any signs for any of the candidates in people's windows or in their yards. If they want my vote, they certainly are not asking for it.

I find this very interesting. How much have you heard or seen from the candidates in your riding?

Haven't had my doorbell rung, but I've gotten pamphlets from the CPC and NDP guys. Plus, all of the candidates in my riding were on Campus yesterday looking for votes.

CPC were by just after xmas, NDP have never come by here ( they hold this riding ) and the Liberal canvaser saw my uniform in the front hall and just left........

no is this an example of how my attendance should be taken on the 23rd.

bossdog @ Thu Jan 19, 2006 8:48 pm

I got one pamphlet. One phone call. They were both from the same party. They even helped get my special ballot sorted out. They were NDP.

I have not recieved anything or seen anyone. [huh]

But than again I am in Steven Harper's riding. I don't think he needs to worry about votes here. [cheer]

Actually Inky Mark and his wife Linda were neighbours of my parents for years and he was a teacher when I was in school. I also worked on his campaign for a bit when he was mayor of Dauphin. I hear from them about once a month, even though Anita Neville(Lib) is my MP. I voted for her once, but never again.

It may be a good thing because he thought you were young enough to be around to vote for him?

Scape @ Thu Jan 19, 2006 11:11 pm

My MP(Keith Martin, Lib) answered all my questions posed to him via e-mail. I have not seen or heard from any of the other candidates except when I watch them in the all candidates debates.

I guess the Conservative sign on my lawn scared away the Fiberal team.

There are hardly any signs around either, compared to usual.
It's nice isn't it.

This last municipal election, there were so many signs in Vernon it really turned me off. There should be a law allowing only one sign per candidate every km or so.
