I should note that honestly never let the fact that someone disagrees with your opinion bother you. I have a very very dear friend of mine that disagrees with almost everything I say in politics and is highly religious.

Needless to say we talk politics often and we have never once yelled or even raised our voice to the others disagreement. I love him very deeply and would give my life to protect him.

In fact my goal and training for the RCMP for the past few years has been deeply inspired by that need to protect even those who disagree with me simply because I realize how precious life is.

I've heard a LOT of name calling here and elsewhere due to politics. "So and so is an idiot", "Liberal weenies", "crybaby Americans", "whiny Christians" and so on. Let's not forget that even those whom we disagree with are people too who you might just form a deep friendship with if you met in real life. Like I did with my friend.

Just something I felt needed to be said in a place that can get heated from time to time. I'm not innocent either I'll admit but I just wanted to point that out.

IMHO I feel being loving towards even those of a different mind is what makes Canada feel like Canada. Politics aside.

Blame the hippie like mentality on Valentines day I suppose.
