Manley says, heave ho Dion must go!
$1:
Manley said the idea that the public would welcome Dion as prime minister after having rejected him during the Oct. 14 federal election "was delusional at best."
"Mr. Dion had seemed to accept responsibility for the defeat (although somewhat reluctantly), and should have left his post immediately" after the vote, wrote Manley, who is now counsel at McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
"Furthermore, in agreeing to the terms of the coalition with the NDP and the Bloc, Mr. Dion bound his successor to a controversial arrangement without even consulting any of the candidates to succeed him in the process, leaving them no option but to endorse it or break with him as party leader."

An EKOS poll conducted Thursday night found 60 per cent of Canadians surveyed think Dion should resign as Liberal leader in light of what has happened on Parliament Hill this week.
By comparison, 37 per cent of respondents said they think Harper should step down.
Who is seen as the better choice for PM......hmmmm?
A 60% disapproval rating vs. a 63% approval rating. can't see these numbers changing much especially if Rae is appointed leader. Then it isn't a coalition of the Liberals and the NDP. Ignatieff is the only hope the Liberals have.
I wonder where the Liberal Stalwarts on this thread?
Both Dion and Harper have lost confidence of the house. They must both go.

I never praised Dion. I did not vote in this election because I couldn't bring myself to cast ballot to a representative who supports Dion. But I couldn't cast a ballot for the conservatives either, you know, conservative and all that.
I would vote UK tory though, no social agenda, only financial. The Cons would get my vote if they stopped being socially conservative.
HAHAH.. Didn't vote..
Then again, if this coalition goes go through, you'll be ahead because our votes will have been rendered pointless and we bothered to vote.
Damned that coalition logic again.
Now it looks like the Libs are burning all their rule books and making their leader a caucus choice. Screw the members. Derby: You're new Liberal member card gives you no right because people who simply know better will be making that choice for you.
Again, more glorious coalition democratic logic.
All hail Ford.

I'm sorry. I just see that as a cop out.
One choice is always better, even if slightly better, than the others.
You have no voice if you don't vote.
Voting, however ineffectual it may seem, is the proper way.
Play it forward, and all that.
